I feel that they shouldn't have done that to him. It really affected our family and changed our life a lot. Parvana has to disguise herself as a boy. She has to wear our dead son’s clothing. For us to survive, it is very dangerous for her. There is no man in our family which makes it hard to do anything in our community because the Taliban have so many unfair rules.

I was sure someone would point at Parvana and sream girl and the news would spread like a wildfire and she would get beat or even arrest.

It was indeed very frightening when we entered we realizes that it was quiet for a soccer then we realized that something was wrong. Suddenly a Taliban soldier held up a sword and cut off a man's hand. Shauzia scream but I covered her mouth then a voice above said that we should keep our heads down so we don't see anything.
