International Association of Project & Program Management
As a worldwide global project organization IAPPM will create value together with our members, project communities, business partners and corporatations by leveraging our content, collaboration and business management insight. For the past year the International Association of Project and Program Management (IAPPM) has taken a leadership role in regard to critical issues impacting the PM industry, including the setting of ethical standards of practice for the Professional Project and Program Manager.
International Project Management Association
IPMA is the World’s first project management association, founded in 1965. Our national associations collaborate to advance our profession's achievements in project and business success. Evidence of our strategic vision, our prior name was INTERNET, which we changed to IPMA, International Project Management Association, in the early 1970s. IPMA is member-driven, and volunteer-staffed. Our IPMA boards and Member Associations are filled with experienced project management practitioners. As a geographically-distributed organization, we collaborate on an ongoing basis, holding board and council meetings regularly around the World. This "collaborate globally, serve locally" approach to serving PPPM is unique to IPMA.
American Society for the Advancement of Project Management
ASAPM is a US-based not-for-profit professional society dedicated to advancing the project management discipline. Working with members, asapm provides the leadership needed for both the professional growth of members and the competent practice of project management. They identify, collect, document, certify, develop, freely share, and promote effective Project and Program Management practices. The goal of the ASAPM Society is to lead the mainstreaming of project management as a core competence of all professions, and as the key to ever-increasing performance in promoting
