Personal Narrative: Code Blue ! Code Blue
All I could see were slow paced bodies walking pass me on the long everlasting hallway, unclear faces, and strange voices echoing in my head. My headed was bottled by all the blurriness and I was waiting to finally wake up. From the little knowledge I had left, I knew if I could find a bathroom I would be to splash water on my face to help snap me out of the large fog that I was trapped in. So I did and I followed my plan as accordingly, but it made a complete left. Other than the unbearable pain I was feeling physically, the pain that I felt emotionally overpowered that and I just felt numb. I looked at my reflection in the stained mirrored and I couldn’t see myself, it was like the young 15-year-old lady that my family has raised to love had been gone. I closed my eyes because I couldn’t dare to look at the stranger that I’ve become. When I opened them I was laid on the bathroom floor, my head was kept elevated by the school nurse, I saw a young girl with a frighten confused face, and I saw men walking around talking into walkie-talkies screaming “Code Blue! Code Blue!” Once they noticed I was awake I was bombarded with questions back to back. My mind was blank, nothing …show more content…
No matter how hard I tried to escape from this happening, the running was bringing in the wrong direction. I look back at all of this and I thank and appreciate my beloved best friend, my other half; he helped me through a lot and the love I have for him is irreplaceable and can never be diminished. I also learned that I'm not perfect and but my flaws are what make me unique. "I consider myself a crayon..... I may not be your favorite color but one day you're going to need me to complete the picture." - Lauren Hill. I took this experience to help teach me self love and appreciate. I took that nightmare of an experience and made it into positive one. I will never ignore myself or put my key to happiness in somebody else's pocket but my

I know it’s a bleak scene, but I’m happy here. I don’t care that I have no stuff. The other three apartments in the building are filled with sober friends and I know this is where I’m supposed to be right now. I cook some food and prepare to relax and process the stuff that just happened on my yoga mat. As I lay down, there is something weird going on in my body, and I don’t understand what it is but I am aware of every single scar on my arms, each place I stuck a needle. I can feel all the pain I caused myself and all of the damage that I did. I know I am in desperate need of more healing.…

When you're a kid you would never think of almost dying at sesame place, but that's exactly what happened to me. As my family and I entered the park, my eyes grew with amazement as I looked around me. There were zooming roller coasters, families laughing, toddlers running around with a sugar high from all the cotton candy they ate, and especially the terrifying, enormous, gray and blue water slide, I looked at the slide with fear and excitement in my eyes. I knew right then and there that I was going to go on that slide no matter the consequences.…

As I walked closer to the entrance, my heart began pounding harder and harder. I could feel the sweat in my hands, as the time closer. Walking into the first room, I was grabbing my dad’s hand. I could feel my hands sweating almost like Niagara Falls. I tried to keep my eyes closed, but it would just make it worst. I slowly began to open them, and the creepy actors were everywhere. They yelled, and ran, all over the place. My fear just got worst.…

I remember that it hurt. It was if someone struck all the air out of my lungs. I tried with all of my might to breathe but it seemed as if I were incapable.I looked for something, anything to hold onto for support. Everyone watched in horror as I sank to the ground and the sob that was stuck in my throat escaped. I was feeling emotions I never felt before, that I didn’t know existed. The two Marines in Dress Blues who stood at attention looked on, their faces mostly emotionless, except their eyes which were filled with pity as they said they were sorry for my loss. My best friend rushed over the office to wrap her arms around my shoulders. The only way she could hold me seeing as I was on my knees crying into my hands. I could feel her sympathy,…

I knew from a young age that I was different. I may have been popular and had beautiful eyes and curly blue hair, yes blue hair, it’s a long story. Anyway I just never really enjoyed doing everything everyone else loved doing. Most girls where at home watching Titanic and were crying at the fact they can’t have Leonardo DiCaprio whilst I’m at home laughing my butt off watching Psycho.…

Gary has a generosity about him that I very rarely find in individuals today. If you are down or struggling, he'll help you up; offer a kind word, a different viewpoint, or a hug. Gary will drop by my home, call or send me a text out of the blue simply to check in or ask how I am doing if I have not seen him recently.…

“Police! As I got my vision back, I saw that it was red, blood. I thought to myself, I was shocked with horror, dozens and dozens of bodies deposited on the ground, every single one dead. The smell of the dead gave me an urge to gag, the sight of blood made me feel dizzy. I steadily walked back to the window and launched myself over, landing on my back. I didn't feel as much pain, as I already felt enough.…

How could I have known when I dressed her in those cute butterfly tights and put her hair into two pigtails that I would never see her again? We walked to the park stopped for some ice cream at the stand right in front of the Empire State Building the one with the cute drawings on the sides that look like something Elizabeth would have drawn. She kept pulling at my hand, wanting to walk ahead, but I would not let her. I remember how the wind felt as if it was going to blow us away. I held onto her extra tight hoping that she would not fly away as if she was some piece of paper. We were at the park for about an hour when my phone rang and I looked down for just a few minutes. I’ve seen plenty of other parents do it.…

One of my most defining experiences to date has been my involvement with the colorguard squad at my school. The colorguard squad is an auxiliary unit that is part of the marching band. We perform with the band at Friday night football games during halftime while spinning flags and rifles to the music. To me, colorguard is so much more than that. Freshman year when I went to tryouts I was terrified. I did not have any friends trying out with me; I was walking into a gym full of older girls whom I had never met. To my surprise, being on the squad for the past three years has been such a defining achievement during high school for me. Without the squad I would have had a completely different experience in school. I learned the value of hard work…

I suddenly woke up to an extremely bright white light shining straight into my eyes. Quickly I tried to sit up from my laying position, but I couldn't. Straps were restraining my legs and torso to a cold, metal table. Finally my eyes became focused and I scanned the surrounding room. Where was I? I was sitting in a tiny, unfamiliar place. It was covered floor to ceiling in a silver chrome color, almost like it was made out of mirrors. Looking up I saw…

Hopefully you still have a good memory, and remember that this letter was written for the personal narrative part of our, “This Is Me,” multigenre project. I’m more than certain you remember the most memorable, life changing things that happened to you four years ago, in 2016. The year isn’t over yet, so technically I don’t even know if anything has been memorable or life changing. Honestly, this whole school year has been pretty mediocre, but as a person, I think I’ve grown a lot. I mean, I’m a lot better than I was in seventh grade. I finally got over myself, and decided that I can’t be, “depressed”. I put depressed in quotation marks because, as you may know, I’m not even entirely sure that I had real, genuine depression. Sometimes I do,…

I woke up in the hospital, the room was stuffy and the air had a undertone of bleach. Beautiful framed pieces of art hang the wall. There were vases of flowers in the room. I look around, every surface was dustless. The nurses were unhurried, they moved with a serene peacefulness from room to room on their rounds. Above the double doors were large blue plastic signs with the area of the hospital that lie ahead. I got this overwhelming feeling of wanting to cry. Brick by brick my walls were tumbling down. The feeling punched through my empty stomach ripping through my bones, guts, and muscles. I knew Ms. Anna would be upset.…
