“You, yes you there”.

“Yes I know you are thinking that how do I know about you. But it’s a secret. Just know that I know about you. Sigh all that money for nothing. I earned so much just to donate it at the end. Now I’m lying in this house in the alley hoping to die like an orphan just like I was born. But still I’m glad. Nobody has to cry for me. I can pass on without any worries, surely those regrets will haunt me in death but I can still cast I’m glad that I cast aside my past. It’s good to pass on without any worries and a clear

That’s just great. My niece decided to leave her children here. I don't remember seeing a sign in front of my house designating it as a daycare center. It's not a place where you drop your children off on date night. I'm not a free babysitter. I am a grown man and I am getting tired of this. Therefore, I'm going to tell you all a story about me. One that I hope you tell your parents. Maybe then they'll stop dropping you off here and my future will have fewer interruptions. I rather be watching baseball god dammit.…

In the second grade, I had a crippling fear of my teacher, who loved to play, “Let's pick on all the students who aren’t raising their hands.” In my imagination, school was where carnivorous teachers scanned the classroom, looking to slaughter the most helpless creatures. And it seemed like this one had clear intentions of mounting my prized head on the wall. This meant that I suffered from a chronic case of rapid heartbeat, timid eye contact, and tense palms that left imprints of red crescent moons on my thighs.…

Silence entered the air after I stepped out of my apartment complex. Slamming the door hard, I walked out of the building and started strutting down the sidewalk into town. Several arguments left the air after I stepped out into the cold, frosty morning of November in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My parents have been arguing for months now, and I can’t take it. I mean, they’re good parents and have given me a nice place and all, but they always are getting drunk and argue all the time. I’ve tried to leave home multiple times but I always end up winding back. I poked at my shaggy, greased blonde hair. I’m a labeled greaser and belong to Tim Shepard’s gang. I mean they’re fun and all, but sometimes I can’t stand them. They watch out for me, we’re buddies, but they’re always drunk and wound up in fights all the time. It’s just like at home, but with the gang I feel more like they’re not gonna leave me.…

The number one regret people have before they die is that they never actually lived. There are several references in today's culture that reflect on this. For example, in Eminem's Lose Yourself he starts by asking, “If you only had one opportunity to seize any thing you ever wanted, would you capture it, or let it slip by? “ Unfortunately, too few people take their opportunity, most letting it slip by out of laziness or fear of what would happen if they do take it. Another song that references this is All Star by Smash Mouth. It goes on to explain that you have to take life slow and…
