“Just Lather, That’s All” Captain Torres Monologue I, Captain Torres, who believes that our country should have better conditions, am here to bring out a new revolution! You people, who oppose us, definitely did not think it through! Have you ever thought about your living conditions? Wouldn’t you want to improve it? Or make it a better place for all of us to live in? Look at yourself and look at people around you! Don’t you people see what’s going on in our country? Do any of you even have the mood to just smile for one second? Eight years ago, November 18, 1968, in Turkey, Richard Moses, the leader of the Turkish people in a town, brought out a revolution! It was a total success! You stupid people didn’t know about it, did you? Every single person in Turkey cheered for the dramatic change! They received good food, decent wages, ethical living conditions, and millions more! Don’t you want any of those fantastic conditions? Take some time to think about your stupid actions stopping us! Think precisely! This is actually not only for our advantages, but also for the good of everyone single person here in this town! I command all of you to listen to me and support me! You will be living in broken houses, wearing torn clothes and barely having any food supplies! So, stop complaining about foolish people. Now, do not waste my precious time! Let’s get out of here! Let’s leave all these foolish people here and get on our way to the new revolution! Let’s go, I said

I haven't had the opportunity to read the book though I've wanted to after seeing the movie. It seems like a very violent descent into insanity in the movie, cut by pieces of harsh violence and yuppie culture. What I'd be curious of figuring out would be the entire internal monologue. Most of the movie rides on his monologue and very little on what people say or think as if they are just props in his life.…

Prompt 1 Yo Holla. REVISE. Growing up, I always believed that my family was just an ordinary family. On the outside, it looked ordinary enough; I had a mother, a father, and an older brother, who all worked together to raise me. My parents, who are Chinese immigrants from Vietnam, made sure that I was raised with a large dose of their culture.…

Now that I have outgrown the after school program, I am always able to come back and have adult like conversations with Fab and reminisce one the good and bad moments with Fab that have made me who I am today. We both think back to her first week here when as she tried to establish herself as a RAD even though the previous RAD told her that my generation was a handful. We can always get a good laugh reminiscing on every time Fab kicked one of us out of after school. Once, she kicked my brother out because she thought he threw something at her with no questions asked. She simply gave him the boot. She has even kicked me out for simply being in her personal space, but my friends and I are still able to laugh about the old strict Fab. She explains…

It makes no difference to me who I kill. I could tell you it was a personal thing. I could tell you about how god-damn pretty that blade is at night, out in the open air. But I'm not going to talk about those things. So I'm going to let you put me on tv And nod my head at silly little people talking about misunderstanding and compassion and bad upbringing. And I'm going to laugh out loud. Who said something about bias crimes? Now what the fuck is bias? This is about hate. And there isn't a doctor or a lawyer or any fucked up fucking do-gooder is going going to do a damn thing about it. Do you want to fight me? You've got to fight me. Lock me up. Come on, do it. You can take away my blade but I'm still out there. There is plenty of me back where…

    Dramatic Monologue

The vile odour of disinfectant permeates the air around me. My heart is racing and my trembling, sweaty hands cling onto my mother’s like a sloth to its branch. Gradually, more doctors begin to crowd around me, resembling vultures hovering over their prey, preparing to strike. The clanging of metal instruments and beeps of various machines distract me momentarily. Looking over to my left, I see a stout, middle-aged man donned in a green surgical gown. He is wearing a big, red foam nose and a multi-coloured cap, with a peculiar propeller-like object perched on top of it. I almost burst out laughing, but fear latches onto me. My eyes pan down from his cap to the sharp object in his hand. Who even is this man? What is he going to do with that?…

I know you said you weren't trying to hurt me. I know you said you were trying to do this the best way you knew how. But when you stood there with your knife at my throat, and I begged you please, you still pressed it in. You heard me scream and beg, and you still dug deeper, until you couldn't hear me anymore. You could hear the blood gushing to the floor, the universe's way of saying you'd fucked up. But you'd already ripped out my throat, you couldn't go back from that.…

It’s been three days. Three whole days without food or water, and I’m sure I’ve been bitten by a million bugs. They said they were coming to find me, but that never seemed to happen. What if I’m too far away? Will they ever find me? I’ve been yelling out for help, but no one ever comes. I’m stuck up in a tree, it’s too far to just jump down and it’s hard to find lower branches. All I can hear is the chirping of a bird beside me and a barking dog in the distance.…

Hello! Before you start reading this, I'd just like you to understand that I really know nothing about the UK at all. I did minimal research, but most of this story is probably not going to be accurate at all, so please don't correct any mistakes that I'll probably make! Also, I'd like you to keep in mind that this is completely fictional, and I've made literally almost everything up on my own. Thank you and I hope you enjoy the story :)…

The Lonely boy in the Forest: I believe it was mid-afternoon when mother and I decided to have a picnic lunch near the forest. The sun smiled at us with its golden radiance, and the scarlet poppies greeted us as me and mother set our picnic on the flower bed. “Simply lovely today, isn’t it Charles?” mother asked as the two of us rolled out the checkered picnic blanket and finally gave our feet some rest. “Yeah.”…

He looks dead. At least as close to dead that you could possibly get while still living. His face is sunken in and he looks three times his age. He’s deathly pale with a tint of yellow that always seems to come with sickness. All the muscle seems to have disappeared off his body, leaving behind skin and bones that could be mistaken for toothpicks. Photos line the wall of a star hockey player, and a high school track record setter along with numerous ‘Get better soon!’ cards. It’s odd to see that the man immobile in bed is one in the same with the healthy individual in the photos.…
