Personal Essay: Pursuing A Career In High School
Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated with acting. I loved being on stage, developing my own character, and working hard learning hundreds upon hundreds of lines. Once I had the opportunity to use my skills in high school I jumped on the chance to do it. I auditioned and rehearsed five days a week from 3pm to 7pm, all while juggling AP classes and keeping my grades up to honors. It may have been hard, and still is but I do it because I adore it and in the end all the hours I spent on it is worth it. After I am done with all of my shows I always become very sick, because in the weeks before the opening night I put all of my energy into the shows that I begin to compromise my own health.
