Perfect Place to Relax
Perfect Place to Live Every year, most of people are looking forward to having a vacation or a holiday. The reason is that they want to go to somewhere to escape the hectic life and relax. Some of them spend a large amount of money for excellent services in their trips. They stay in the most luxurious and up-scale rooms; they eat many expensive and luscious dishes. It will be a great thing if you have enough money for these. But for me, the perfect place to relax is my room. My conception is : Nowhere is better than my house. Up to now, I have owned this room for five years. It is designed and decorated in the way I like. The walls of the room are painted light blue which is my favorite color. This kind of color makes the room not only cool but also spacious. The wall in front of my bed is decorated by myself. In the middle of the wall, I put the biggest and the most beautiful photograph. A middle-aged man sits comfortably on the bench; his arm is draping around the shoulder of a woman next to him. She bends her head on his broad shoulder, having a beam of satisfaction. Two little girls in lovely, pink dresses stand behind them, smiling happily- pretty smiles as like as the woman. Next to two girls are two young men. One in a smart suit has a square face. His light brown eyes look straight in a sensible way. The other seems younger than him, but he gives other people a friendly and warm look. They are very happy and satisfactory. This is my family photograph. Around this photo, I put some snaps that I took not only with my family but also with my friends. These remind me of memorable and great moments with them who always give me lots of support; and they become my motivators which help my mind stronger to get over whichever difficulties. On the left corner of the room, there is a little bed which I love most. A big pillow, a warm blanket and a Teddy bear who is my best friend lay straightly on the bed. All wraps are made of cotton fabric and decorated with

I lay patiently on the cracked leather chaise longue. The modest room was a fading cream colour, books line the wall near my feet in an ornate shelf, a small desk and chair sit by the wall opposite me next to the iron door, there is a single swinging light in the middle of the room which casts a golden glow over everything and a painting of a sailing ship hangs above me.…

Sullivan, Zero from Nightmare Before Christmas, Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, Mushu and Cricket from Mulan, and Au Naturel from the Minion Movie). Next to my window is my collage of pictures. I have 3 short silver wires and each holds 4 bright pictures; below those, I have a wood frame that has a picture of me and my childhood friends; and my last picture on that wall is my "Alice Down the Rabbit Hole", it is another and different interpretation of the story. Now on to my right wall, this wall is a little different than the rest. My twin sized bed is on the floor right up against the wall, but the wall itself slants inward, right over my bed. My blanket on my bed is an orange quilt that has an old purple floral design on it. It has a retro look. At the foot of my bed, is a short, white foot dresser that my great-grandfather built my mother. On that is where my black Dell computer and my white Google Chrome charge (those lay side by side), next to those is where I keep my large and colorful Biology binder. On top of that stands my Pocket People that I got when I traveled to New…

Depending on one’s geographic location and personal economic status, vacations are often regarded as the expected result of hard work or productivity. They typically act as a temporary pause on the stressors or difficult components of life and allow time for either relaxation or adventure. Despite this commonly held understanding, not all countries maintain such a positive opinion. Rather than a blissful escape from monotony, they instead view vacations as nothing more than a pitiful waste of time, energy, and critical resources.…

Walking into my special room, one would notice in a corner a large brown square dog bed with puppy prints all over it. Next to the bed there is a brown rectangular wooden basket that contains all sorts of chew toys for a dog. From this section, a stranger would know that we have a large sized dog that is spoiled with tons of treats and toys to play with. The majority of the room is taken up by a tan microfiber couch, loveseat, and recliner. Each piece of furniture has a throw pillow and blanket on it. From this one might assume that in this house people enjoy relaxing on the couches and may even take a nap with a pillow and a blanket. The recliner has more spills and the color of the couch has faded. From this one may gather that the recliner is the favorite chair in the house. On one large low to the ground circle end table, there is a decoration that says “family.” Around this decoration is a bunch of different picture frames holding different pictures that include older people to young children. In the middle of the pictures is the biggest silver picture frame. In this frame, there is a young girl kissing a young male. From this a stranger could get the idea that family is important to this young couple that is in love and hope to have children one day. On another end table, there is a fake orange pumpkin with a purple hat that lights up. Next to the pumpkin is an old witch with a wart on her nose and her legs hang off the table. From this, one may assume that whoever lives here enjoys the holidays. On one wall, there is a flat screen TV. Underneath the TV, there are piles of movies that range from sports movies such as “Throwback” to children movies such as “Shrek.” From this one can assume that the owners of this house enjoy watching a variety of movies. The last end table is where one would find a pile of 6 textbooks- 2 education, 1 film study, 1 accounting, and 1 managerial book. At the sight of seeing all of these…

There is no place like mi casa. After a long day of school or a tiring session of work, the one place I can surely count on is home. Deep in the outskirts of Miami Gardens, this relaxing getaway destination awaits. While not the fanciest nor extravagant, my house is a convenient three bedroom apartment in the residency of Walden Pond. The building is beige with firebrick red stairs and a faded grey roof. The stairs are firm, and have rust stains due to weathering. Walking into the apartment, the aroma of Glade air freshener greets you before the people do. The walls are an orange-brown color, and immediately upon entry there are plaques and awards for my siblings showing their accomplishments in school. A glass table with flowery boutique sits…

I haven’t visited for many years but I visited so much as a child I do not need a tour. The ceilings are very high and I can barely see them in the darkness of the night. The walls all have lovely paintings covering them. I can tell the interior design has been thoroughly thought out and the colour scheme is gold, black and red. When I finally make it up the many flights of stairs to the 6th floor of the building where my room is situated I thank the butler for taking care of me and go inside. The first thing I notice is how dark the room is. The only source of light is the moon light shining through the window, which casts a mysterious glow across the room. I quickly go to the fireplace and light it to provide me with not just light but warmth as I am cold from my trek. After successfully lighting the fire I light a candle next to my bed. I then finally have a look around my room. It looks as if they had set this room up for me with months’ notice, but in truth they only found out a week ago they would be taking me in. there is a lovely vanity on one side of the room, a wardrobe full of lovely clothing and many expensive pieces of furniture laid out around the room. Deciding to thoroughly look through my room in the morning I find a gown to wear to bed and go to…

    My Messy Room

I am currently sitting in my bedroom, on a cold winter day. My feet touching the rough surface of my ancient Persian carpet, walls of orangey orange stare at me through the pictures on them, and the mountains of dirty clothes falling over me as if there was an avalanche going on. Today is not going well as I feel stressed from all the chores that I have, plus the cleaning of my over infected room. Even though every visitor that gets to see my room may suffer blindness from seeing the mess, I love this room because it has a certain warmth and glow that allows my mind to rest in peaceful bliss. Yes, maybe there is a smell of wet dog and there are pets that I never brought home crawling around every corner of this room but it is the place where I grew up and feel safe to be when I am down. There are so many great treasures hidden in this room that as soon as I clean, I feel water drops fall from my dark brown eyes and run across my cheeks until they fall from my chin and hit the floor. Out of a 24 hour day I may only take 7 hours to get this place spotless and be able to observe the wonders hidden inside of the black door that covers the entrance.…
