1 out of every 3 children in the United States is considered obese. That is about 25 million children in this great country of ours that are overweight. I think there are two main reasons why these 25 million children are overweight. Number one is that children aren’t eating the right foods, that is the main reason why there are a lot of obese children in the world today. The second reason is because these children aren’t getting enough exercise throughout the day which makes it even easier to become obese.…

Do athletes have the right to protest while on the clock. Last year a quarterback caught the sports community on fire. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin kaepernick last summer sat for the national anthem. His actions would spark controversy around the country and debates over freedom of speech. Kaepernick stated that his actions were meant to start a conversation on oppression against African Americans and police brutality. His massage however would be clouded by controversy, when people believed his silent protest was disrespectful to the military. “For the land of the free, and the home of the brave” the final words to our nation’s national anthem. There has been controversy about football players, and many other athletes kneeling during the “Star Spangled Banner” to protest against the tragedies happening in America day after day. The First Amendment gives these athletes the privilege to express their opinions, and their right to kneel during our national anthem. My favorite sports star is Tom Brady, he is one of the best quarterbacks of all time, well in my opinion he is the best quarterback. Tom is pretty slow and old, he has one of the best arms in the league right now. As for the most part, I have been a Patriots fan since I was in 3rd grade due to the fact that I thought they were a really good team who won tons of games. I would always watch every Patriots game with my dad. I remember one time my dad took me to a Patriots game and I remember seeing Tom Brady and I was so excited. Afterward, the Patriots led on to win the game against the dolphins. Some quarterbacks only have 1 or 2 Super Bowl rings, but Brady has 5. People are calling him “the goat”, which stands for ‘greatest of all time’. In…

Notably, Trump, our president said: “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Out! He’s fired. He’s fired!’” This however is wrong; the American people are standing up for Blacks and are allowed to disrespect the flag just as well as the national anthem. In Supreme Court decision Texas vs Johnson in 1989, the Supreme Court decided that it was Constitutional to burn the American flag because it is a form of free speech. Also in supreme court case Snyder vs Phelps, people were performing disrespectful peaceful protests at several marine’s funeral. Both of these fall under the 1st Amendment. This shows that no matter how disrespectful a form of “free speech” or “peaceably protesting”, the NFL players are still legally protected by the federal…
