Tom Brady Research Paper
My favorite sports star is Tom Brady, he is one of the best quarterbacks of all time, well in my opinion he is the best quarterback. Tom is pretty slow and old, he has one of the best arms in the league right now. As for the most part, I have been a Patriots fan since I was in 3rd grade due to the fact that I thought they were a really good team who won tons of games. I would always watch every Patriots game with my dad. I remember one time my dad took me to a Patriots game and I remember seeing Tom Brady and I was so excited. Afterward, the Patriots led on to win the game against the dolphins. Some quarterbacks only have 1 or 2 Super Bowl rings, but Brady has 5. People are calling him “the goat”, which stands for ‘greatest of all time’. In …show more content…
Many Patriot fans don’t think it’s true and still consider Tom to be a great quarterback. Brady has received many awards like “MVP of the year” or “offensive player of the year”. Another key point is that Tom always has one of the best passing yardage or touchdown passes every year. Although, one of the reasons why Brady is so successful is because of his main receivers and tight ends, which are Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Chris Hogan, Martellus Bennett, and Rob Gronkowski. I always wanted to be like Tom Brady when I was a little kid, I remember every time I played football in the city, I would try to get the number 12. During my 8th grade flag football season, my coach told me that I was going to be starting quarterback and then I told my coach if I can get the number 12 and he said yes. When it was my first game, I threw a short touchdown pass to my friend and I felt so proud of myself, I thought about Tom right away. Some of my friends at my school would call me Pedro Brady and it would make me smile or laugh. I would always watch Tom Brady videos on YouTube everyday. I would always read books about him, I never really liked reading, but when it came to my idol than I would read tons of

Once he was finished with high school he earned a scholarship from Southern Mississippi which was the only scholarship offered to him. During his freshman year he started the season as a seventh string quarterback. Favre looked to take over the starting position in the first half of the third game. Although suffering a hangover he led the team to a comeback win. In his third season with the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles Favre upset the 6th ranked Florida State Seminoles. Brett Favre threw the game winning pass with just 23 seconds left as he put up a six and a half minute drive. Just before Brett Favre’s senior year start he had one of the scariest things happen in his life. Brett Favre lost control of his car going around a turn near his house. His car flipped three times and finally stopped resting on a tree. One of Brett’s brothers busted the window out and was taken to a hospital on an ambulance. On the ride to the hospital Favre just kept asking his mom if he will ever be able to play football again. Favre had to get emergency surgery and the doctors removed thirty inches of his intestines. Favre then hosted a comeback win over the Alabama Rolling Tide. After the game Alabama Head coach Gene Stallings said “You can call it a miracle or a legend or whatever you want. I just know on that day Brett Favre was larger than life.” At the end of Favre’s career at Southern Mississippi he holds a bunch of records and earned a…

This shows the narration of the poem is from the point of view of a group of young teenagers who decides not to go to school anymore, and they think they’re really “cool” because they skip school and ignore all their responsibilities as young people. This poem is also written seemingly in “street kid” vernacular to emulate a certain group of people. According to an article by Tom Brady on Soapboxie, the author puts “Emphasis on street credibility and savvy in many Black communities have given rise to the thug culture. This culture stresses the negative aspects of masculinity which is often contentious towards all involved” (Soapboxie). It is implied that the speaker of the poem apathetic response to teenagers skipping school and living the…
