However, Jordan Paper created an outline that defines a mystical event, which can help a person determine whether or not they have experienced one. The first sequence of events of when a mystical event occurs is usually when a person is sitting still or moving in a pattern that does not require any thought. For example, during Jordan Paper’s first mystical event he stated, “I was lying on my side and directly in my vision across a sunlit, mown field I perceived an attractive woman.”. Moreover, the second stage of a mystical event is a feeling of merging with a person’s vision or surroundings. As Jordan witnessed the attractive woman, slowly approach him until she and the rest of his surroundings filled his view and became one with him. The third sequence of a mystical event is becoming one with light from within their self. In the case of Jordan, the light was white and he had the option of entering the light or have the mystical event cease. Additionally, the fourth stage of a mystical event is when they feel themselves completely disappear. For instance, Jordan mentioned that he understood what the meaning of death meant as he felt not-being. The fifth stage of a mystical event is when a person is aware that they can stop the experience from progressing any further. This is the moment when Jordan had the choice to enter the light or not. Consequently, since he entered the bright white light he achieved an immeasurable amount of ecstasy.
