My Mom
The Influential Mother There are people in my life who influence me, but as I look at all of my relationships, I realize that the one individual I look up to the most is my mother. My mother is a home maker who does not have a prestigious career and is not well known by many. This may cause people to question why I look up to her so much but my mom is a significant influence on me, as she supports me, is driven to do her best and is an example of a great leader. My mom supports me in all that I do and wants me to be the best I can be. The responsibility of five children can be demanding but my mom always finds the time to go to all of our games and events and cheer us on! Not only does she support my siblings and I, but our teams as well. She is always willing to assist in the running of fundraisers, taking pictures of our teammates, providing us with dinner, and assisting the coach in any way she can. Everything she does is to ensure that we have an enjoyable season. Another way my mom supports us is making sure we have a successful education. If I am struggling on my homework she will find ways for to help me fully understand even if she does not. She will go online and teach herself, or find someone who can tutor me. Making sure her children do not go without is another important issue for my mom. She always takes time out of her day to cook us dinner, buy us clothes, or any supplies we might need. One of the reasons my mom is so supportive is because of her energy and drive to excel at everything she does. My mom was a straight “A “student in school and could have succeeded at any career she wanted to but instead she decided to stay home to take care of her children. My mom has always been driven to do her best and be the best. Everything she does has to be just right because she feels it’s important to never settle for less. Our home always has a welcoming feeling because my mom wants to make sure it’s clean, and decorated nicely. She also seems
