What Does It Mean To Be A Hero
Some people believe that a hero should be strong, brave, and smart. Others believe that a hero should be someone who gives back to the community. I believe that my mom fits the criteria for a hero because she is a moral person who is exceptional at her obligations. I admire my mom because of her caring nature for my sister and me, her hard work ethic, and her outgoing and friendly personality. My mom cares for my sister and me by cooking and serving dinner, enforcing house rules, and doing the bulk of laundry. On a usual day Mom would go to either Langenstein’s or Costco to buy dinner for the night, or she would have food in the fridge that she could prepare for us. I am grateful that she cooks meals for us instead of frozen meals and fast food. Also my mom enforces the house rules to look out for our well being like a curfew. As a night person I find the curfew to be challenging at times, but I know she just wants me to have ample rest. While my mom and sister take on most of the burden for indoor chores, I cut the grass and trim the hedges in our yard. My mom usually put the clothes in the washer and drier, but she forces us to do the folding. …show more content…
She works a full-time job in the fixed-income market trading bonds to investors and companies. Month by month she preserves through the uncertain world of the financial market on her commission salary. She puts extreme effort into the job because she needs to call around the offices to find clients that want to invest, show bonds that they may be interested to invest into, and finalize a trade in the main office in Milwaukee. But still I believe that her being able to handle both a full-time job and kids best showed her hard work

There are many definitions of the word ‘hero’ but Dictionary.com defines a hero as a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities, a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal, the principal male character in a story, play, film, etc. While growing up, I can remember many instances where we were asked to write about and describe who we felt our ‘hero’ was. A hero to many is someone who goes around running impossible speeds like flash doing good or a person with supernatural powers. Or like Judah thinks a hero is the good guy that fights the bad guy and always wins. However, to me a hero is a person who doesn’t care about money, fame and glory but they care about the happiness they can bring and the care they can bring for their family. A person who consoles me when I am upset, a person who always tries to find the good in everything. A person who fights for her beliefs(even if sometimes they are stubborn about it). A person who always gets me on my good side when I have a bad day. Someone who smiles and laughs at her own mistakes. Ciocia Tereska this why you are my hero!!! Against all odds…

Everyone has a different definition of a hero. Mine is a person who has impacted my life, or lives in general. They are selfless and genuine people who care about others more than themselves. A hero has no gender, size, or age. Anyone is capable of being a hero, but it’s very rare to find someone who possesses all of the qualities. The definition of a hero is a relatively simple one; a hero is someone who positively impacts others through their actions and accomplishments. While we all have different views on who exactly we see as a hero, there are certain individuals, such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Abraham Lincoln, who have undeniably changed the world and fit this definition. I have found that many of the individuals who society, and I personally, view as great heroes, share a certain set of traits that almost definitely had a large part in their accomplishments. This is why I believe that bravery, selflessness, and determination are three vital traits when it comes to defining what it means to be a hero.…

My hero is, my mom, in my eyes she is extraordinary because she stands out. My mom is the role model, in my life and in my mind worthy of my admiration. My mom loves me unconditionally, encourages me, is always there for me, puts my life before her own, makes me happy when I am sad, stands up for me, and walks in when the rest of the world walk out. She is sincere, she doesn’t pretend to be somebody that she is not. My mom is a single parent who works hard daily to support myself as well as my 8 year old brother. Yes, it is a struggle but she gives smiles freely as if it is easy. She had raised me to be a good child, which was a good accomplishment. Because she never really had the chance to pursue her dreams, one thing she always told me was “practice really does make perfect” in other words never give up and if you fail, keep trying until you have fulfilled you goal. I thought that was just a saying, but now it makes a lot of sense. She also taught me how to roll with change, for the simple fact that life comes with many changes and you have to prepare yourself to take them on rather they are good or bad changes.…
