Mom Is Most Influential in My Life Essay Example
People have had someone to influence them in their lifetime at some time or another, but my biggest influence in my life is my mom. I can’t but admire my mom’s strength and her wisdom. I am a strong believer in the saying “like father", “like son" goes with both genders, however, I do think that this is more a result of following example rather than a result genetics. It is common knowledge that not everyone is perfect, even heroes, and in realizing this I know. Although I wish to be like my mom in most ways I do not at all. This realization may be one of the most important things I have learned, my mom has taught me to be firm in my decisions in life, not solely on the examples and actions of others but simply on what I gather and learn from the examples and actions of others. In other words, she has taught me not to follow blindly but to make my own decisions based on what I think is important. The things I have learned and continue to learn from my mom are continuous; she has taught me all of the founding principles of my life and for that I am very thankful. My mom has an enormous influence on me because she always encourages me to do my best, taught me to be a survivor and finally mom influences me by is always helping needy.

One of many important roles that my mom plays in my life is that of a teacher and counselor. She has taught, and still teaches, about life and anything right and wrong in the world. An example would be that no matter how complicated something can get, never give up and walk away after the first try. Dale Carnegie, a famous writer and lecturer, once said; “Most of the things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” (Walter 1) Another would be just because you see someone do something that seems bad, but does not get in trouble, do not…

My father, a pharmaceutical representative, taught me to work hard at everything I do which has benefitted me throughout my academic career. If I ever hit a blockade and wanted to give up, he would always say, “You have to finish what you started.” During freshman year, I took Pre-AP Geometry which was a challenging course to me, and after my first test I thought I wasn’t going to pass the class. However, instead of giving up in the class and dropping out to an easier class, I worked harder and studied more. At the end of the year, I passed the class with an A. This work ethic has allowed me to succeed more than fail in life. My mother, a realtor, infused in me values and a curiosity of life. Who I Am Today Analysis

The biggest playing factor on who I am today was unquestionably a repercussion of my kindred. My home, after my parent’s divorce, was always filled with 4 people, which were my mother, my youngest brother, my only sister and myself. Fifty percent of the time the house was peaceful as the other half was obnoxious. My brother and I shared a room together which used to bother me bucket loads back when I was around the age of fourteen to sixteen. Sharing a room with my brother, whom I see every single sun and moon, definitely taught me to share what I have and to make the best out of what I have. Sure we would argue, but in the end we would make up and laugh it out with a video game to accompany us and our bored, young minds. My mother also taught me a very important life lesson, which was to “Learn from your mistakes,” and I made many, but never made one without learning a lesson from my error. I don’t think I would of been able to survive without the help…

Each person that I have known has taught me something, but a significant amount of what I have learnt and implemented has come from my mom. The fact that my mom has had the greatest influence on me is simply because she is the person who has taught me to be responsible for myself, something which has also helped me to discover who I really am. Her sense of independence is an aspect that has had a profound effect on me; I believe that independence opens up many opportunities because it requires that a person be confident in his identity and that he know his needs, goals, and limitations.…

For the past years, I have been influenced daily by the people I surround myself with. I am most influenced by my parents, which I consider great leaders. My parents are loving individuals who have helped me accomplish many things today by leading me on the right direction. Their hard work has made me see and understand that life should not be taken for granted; not to settle for just passing, but to be the best I can be by accomplishing my goals. They also remind me the importance of education by motivating me to do my hardest. Teachers are also influenced my life by developing knowledge and helping me prepare myself for the career that I have chosen. They have given me the best advice they can and motivated me to be the best I can be. My siblings are also individuals who have influenced the way I live by being there for me when I need them the most. They have also taught me on what is right from wrong by giving examples on how things can change in a quick second. My older sister has always mentioned how she wishes to go back in time and do things she always wished she could of done. By hearing things like that makes me want to finish everything I have started and not regret later on in life on things I could of done. My older sister would be one of my biggest influences for always being who she is to everyone she meets; respectful, responsible, kind, loving, and truthful. She has taught me to never give up on something I wish to do. Finally, knowing my religion and learning about God, has made me see Him as a major influence in my life. Being moral is something I have been taught since I was a young girl. By knowing who is God and knowing many thing about Him, makes me feel grateful on how I live my life by treating others how I would like to be…

For each and every one of us, there has been at least one person who has influenced us. It can be a family member, a friend, or a teacher. It doesn’t necessarily always have to do with doing better all the time, it can also be bad influence as well. I chose good influential people, which is my father, my 5th grade teacher, and my best friend Junior. Although it can be anyone, those are the three people that have influenced me to do better in my life more than anyone else has. My mother, my brother, and a few other people in my life have also made a good difference. Even though I had plenty of other people be good influence to me, if I had to choose, I will still choose my father, my 5th grade teacher, and my best friend Junior again and again.…
