My Educational Philosophy
My Educational Philosophy I feel that education is the foundation of human interaction. School is where students take in knowledge that will determine what they do with the rest of their lives. Students are offered great opportunities through education. Many times these opportunities are affected by how the material is presented to them. I want to work with children because teaching is a unique occupation that will provide me with great rewards. My philosophy is like Montessori’s theory- A prepared environment. Having everything prepared is something that I feel will work better and trusting the child’s drive to learn. I have worked with kids voluntarily at my child’s school and having things prepared works great. I have learned from being with my kids at home and teaching them shapes and colors, letting the kids have fun while learning is the best way to go. I try to make it fun rather than getting upset if they don’t remember something I just told them a second before. It really makes a child happy to learn and wanting to learn more. A good teacher attempts to use all types of learning styles in order to reach out to all types of learners. All students learn at different paces, and work better with some learning styles rather than others. I feel that teachers that have good relationships with their students and get down to their level will be very successful. I also feel the teachers have to be respectful towards the students and vice versa. Having a good communication with the parents is also something teachers need to have. A good teacher will enjoy working with
