my bedroom
Vicky

In China, there is a place that I will never forget. That place collect the memories that I have when I was still a child. This place is m own bedroom in China. This bedroom started to decorating since I was in kingnagarden. The furniture in this room are all HelloKitty, because when I was young I liked HelloKitty very much. Although I move to Canada, my bedroom is still the best place for me to live.

When you open the door of my bedroom, the first thing you will probably see is my television. The television is from my brother, he had bought it for me when I was 6 years old. Because in each room of my house, there is a television in there, so I was wishing that if I could have a television in my bedroom too. Therefore, my brother bought a television for me.

The second thing in my bedroom that make me feel comfortable is my bed. When I was in china, after I was dismissed from school I would walked back to home as fast as I could and lied down on my bed because I was too tired. On my bed there are so many fluffy plushies, and sometimes I will like to hug them because it make me feel pleasantly.

On the other hand, the bookshelf is also the items that has an important status in my bedroom. The bookshelf that I have in my bedroom can hold so many things in. Except placing some books in there, there is a separate shelf that is for you to place some other objects. I put some photos of my family and the collections that I have on to the separate shelf. This giant bookshelf fills up the empty space in my bedroom, and this make me feel more safe when I am in the room.

Although my bedroom is not as pretty as some gigantic fantasy bedroom, it is still my best bedroom in the world. Every time when I was missing China, I will always think of my bedroom, because it has so many important memories for me to cherish for rest of my life.

Instead of storing books on it, use it for decorative trinkets, and place your lamp, and other nighttime goodies on top. Using a bookshelf is a great way to punctuate the style of your bedroom without taking up too much room. Another option is to install sturdy shelves on the wall next to your bed; the shelf will serve the same purpose, but will save you floor space.…

Separate but equal is the approach that my roommate and I took when we moved in. To keep things separate, her things are on the left and mine are on the right. The equal part comes in if one of us wants to use something of the others (such as a nail clipper or a hair tie.) This means that almost anything we own is open to use with permission. We decided that we didn't want to combine any of our things just yet because we didn't know each other that well. I believe it's a good idea because it will reduce the chance of an argument over whose things are whose. Girls seem to be pettier about their things than boys. Having two girls in such a small space can lead to unwanted confrontation and bitterness. I'm not a territorial person, but she may be and for that reason, separate but equal is definitely the best approach.…

The library itself became my haven when I was home. It smelled like books, and since most of them had been purchased second hand, this was accompanied by a musty, organic aroma that to this day makes me want to curl up on the couch with a book. The only furnishing was the bookcases that lined every wall, a rickety desk, and a loveseat that had been exiled to the…

When we arrived to Grand View Hotel and we all checked into our hotel room, first thing I noticed was the view of the pool from the window. After, I actually took the time to look around and saw that there was a kitchen and a small living room as well as two average sized rooms. The reason why there was two room was because my family and I were sharing a hotel room with my cousin and my aunt. So on our first day there, we ate dinner at this restaurant and met with some of my relatives that I’ve never met before. I remember that was my first and last time…

In addition to it, on a table against a wall placed cupcakes and candies which make the ground floor smells warm and inviting and blessedly familiar. There is a pool table on one side of the lounge and a table tennis table on the other side beside couches. In the middle are three elevators and from across is a wall of mailboxes. It would take approximately a minute to get to the floor that I live in, the 20th floor. Step out of the elevator after the sound “ding”, the carpeted floor gives it a wonderfully homely character. My room is a double split room, it is allocated evenly on both sides and is furnitured with essentials such as closet, table and mattress on the base. As I jump on the bed, the bed-springs does not creak and the mattress is very soft to lay on. When open up the window, the sound of the city mixed with the sound of wind can be heard clearly along with the sunset and city view outside my window is quite a sight to behold. The throw pillow in bright global textiles and the traditional patterned bedding that I brought all the way from my own country, China, lightened this little room. All these small parts all take parts to build up a home feeling which is one of the main reasons why Lawrinson Hall is my favorite building on campus.…

People always want to live and travel abroad, to experience new sensations and create life time memories, but as the cliché goes “you can take the boy out of the town but not the town out of the boy” pertains to be very true. When people go abroad they bring with them little things that remind of them home. Sometimes its pictures, sometimes its lucky coins or tokens, but when people move abroad they tend to adjust their entire living space to what makes them feel most comfortable at home. Sometimes its posters, framed pictures of family and pets, but often times it’s in the details of how you live that really reflect the things that make you most comfortable. In this room’s case, the living room of my current abroad apartment, it is the convenient set up and the scattered trash that reflects the way in which I attempt to make this room feel like a little bit of home.…
