Monologue Between Romeo And Juliet
Scene 1. Mantua. A street.
{Enter Romeo}
Romeo: If I can trust the good dreams I had last night, then something wonderful is about to happen. My heart is full of love, and I’ve felt on top of the world since I got out of bed today. I had a dream that my love found me dead! Quite odd, dreaming from a dead man’s perspective. She kissed me, and suddenly, I was alive again! Alive as a king! It’d be amazing to have the woman I love, considering the thought of love makes me feel so happy.

Is there news from Verona? How is it, Balthasar? Are there any letters from the friar? Is my wife okay? How is my father doing? Is Juliet doing well? I asked twice, because nothing can be wrong as long as Juliet is alright. …show more content…
Her body is resting in the Capulet family tomb, and she will spend the rest of eternity among the angels in Heaven. I saw her in the tomb, and came back as soon as possible to deliver the news. I feel awful for having to share such horrible news, but it is my job, sir.

How? Dark thoughts come to those who let them in. I recall a pharmacist who isn’t too far from me. He wears rags for clothes and has caterpillar eyebrows. All his medicine is herbal. He’s old and poor and seems to barely be hanging onto life. He had some strange animals hanging up in his shop. There were some empty boxes, green pots, and musty seeds. There was some strings and mashed flowers on display, as well. As I noticed his poverty, I thought to myself, “If someone needed poison-” which, you would be killed for in Mantua, “-here is a poor soul who would sell it for you.” I mean, I already had this thought before your death, but I assume this same guy probably sells it.
