Imagine that you and your parents are Lincoln Logs. Your parents are like the base of a tower while you expand up from there. If there are arguments or major disagreements with your parents, then the base would become shaky and may make the tower fall. In contrast, look at a relationship between you and your friends. Most of the time, you and your friends work together well and keep the relationship stable. But, if you don’t like something about them or if they change into something you’re not comfortable with, then your pieces might not fit together/fit together anymore and that relationship would break apart.
