My high school years attending La Joya High School went by like a breeze. I came across new experiences, friendships and being on sports teams such as basketball and track. I thought my high school years are going to be an enjoyable experience while achieving accomplishments like earning the Most Valued Player award for throwing Shot-put and being voted for Best Junior in chorus class .When I transferred to a new school for my senior year It felt like the year of 2015 changed my Life completely . That's how I found the gateway to my future triumphs.
My “back to school” outfit was not even flamboyant as much as I thought it would be. I had on the black school uniform shirt, ripped light denim jeans and

In the middle of typing my story on the class computer I went to the snack closet and pulled out a big bag of Hot Cheetos. While I was eating and trying to type my story at the same time she called me over to her desk. I sat down in the chair right next to her and we started discussing college plans. I told her I want Journalism to be my major. She had this astonished look on her face like I gave her the winner numbers for the lottery. Ms. Mathews was telling me how sophisticated I am compared to the students there in school. I can still remember the exact same word she said to me after discussing college and she told me “You are going to make it in journalism.” Ms. Mathews has a reputation for being a discourteous teacher. Ms. Mathews has 20 inches of grey hair in a ponytail, wears dark color clothing with some flower patterns on them and she looks like she’s in her late forties. The way people were describing her to me made it seem like she dressed monotonously and has a rude attitude all the time. Ms. Mathews and I got along very well and she’s truly an excellent educator. After having a conversation with her for an hour she logged out of the computer, gathered some of her items, told me “I’m getting ready to leave, but please make sure you close the door when you leave “, smiled and

After one of my favorite classes I head to Health Sciences to go over CPR because next week we head to the hospital for the first week of rounds. During CPR we were told to do 30 compressions or 100 compressions in a minute with 2 breaths after 30 time of going at least two inches in an adult or an person eight and above. At the time of 0916 I head across the school do english where we are given the responsibility to write a paper that includes a moral lesson and is due friday typed into turnitin.com. The teacher today was walking around and talking to student make sure they are writing about the right topic and the first person she came to was me. “ So Liam what are you writing about the teacher asked.” I decide to write about myself in this story” I replied.” Which moral lesson did you choose” “ I choose to write about the moral lesson of diligence which I believe mean to alway challenge yourself but remain humble in everything you do within school and out of school.” “ That sounds very intriguing and I can not wait to see how you pull the story all together” the teacher said as she moved to another student. When entering my next class I was given a pass for my senior meeting which will tell me my rank and GPA. Unfortunately I spent almost two hour in the meeting because the counselor lost my paper file and the computer was not wanting to open my internet file. When the computer finally loaded my file I missed math and science but I did learn I am 12th in my class out of 784 and my GPA is 6.63 out of a 7 point scale. The next class I had to attend was my training class where I had the chance to learn how to put a person arm back in its socket and how to stretch a person that had surgery on their leg. Following my trainer class I went to Pals where we went to Tiny middle school to meet…

Growing up we all looked forward to starting high school, but how many of us enjoyed every bit of it? High school was a moment that I looked forward to; thoughts of doing what I finally wanted to flood my mind. In June 2008, I received my GSAT result and was delighted when I saw that I passed for the William Knibb Memorial High School; although a bit disappointed because it wasn’t on my top five list. High school was not everything that I expected. In a few days, I met a few nice people. The first week of school was amazing, but after a few weeks things started getting intense. High school; however, was no bed of roses, especially when it came onto the subjects, reports, and school rules.…

I started school at Antelope Elementary, and my teacher's name was Ms. Love, she was one of the best teachers ever! She was so nice and kind to everyone. Ms. Love got married at the beginning of the year and so she had changed her name to Mrs. Wright. I was confused after this and she got mad at everyone that called her Ms. Love because that was not her name anymore. I didn't like her as much after she was married, but then, a month into kindergarten we took a pretest, I am not sure what it was on but I knew everything. Know I thought of how easy school would be and now thinking of this school is pretty easy because I am smart! I was only about six at the time of this and I had no idea what was happening. We went into the principal’s office and she was really nice. I took another test. I passed this test to with one hundred percent! The next day I wasn't in my class anymore. I was in the first grade! My teacher's name was Mrs. Collingwood and to this day she is my favorite teacher because she was so welcoming and loving to everyone. I went into my class and I noticed that the first graders are so intimidating I thought. They were taller and smarter and I didn’t know what to do or how to…

In addition, I was confused because it was a whole different schedule and there was a variety of new topics that I had never heard about. Furthermore, I was lost because the school was enormous and there were a lot of new things to deal with. To conclude, during the first five weeks I still felt like it was summer so I didn’t have my act together which made a couple of things tough on me.…
