Job: The Possible's Story Of Job
story of job is a popular story in the bible because it establishes the concepts of; communication , faith , and trust.

Communication is important in this story because it starts the stepping ground for your relationship with god. Calling on god when you go through problems can ease the pain. In the book of job, Job loses everything his live stock, servants, and his ten children. Afterwards Job cries and shaves his head, but he still prayes god name. Unlike others, when they are put through obstacles, they tend to turn their back on god. Also, blaming him for the reasons for their trials and trivialtions. However, Job still worships god more then ever. God respond with another obstacles where Job develops boils. He is so despreate to remove them that he takes an knife and cut them off and still does not sin with his lips by cursing The lord's name. Having a strong belief in god can overcome life challenges. All people do not share the same belief in god; therefore, you have to have a mind of your own and have strong faith. Job wife was the first to tell him to curse god and die. Despite the love of his life telling him to have curse the one who once blessed them abundantly, he calls her foolish and still remains to pray. Job remains faithful believing that god will once again blessed them. If a person does not have strong faith it is easy to influence them to do wrong. Job sits down with three friends who repeatedly asks him what did he do wrong to deserve the cruel punchement. His friends purposes different reasons of why god does what he does. Thinking like god or to act as if you know what he his going to do next weakens a person faith. However, job remains faithful knowing that god will never purposely hurt him.     Satan then takes away Job health by planting boils all over his body. Job eventually become very disappointed with his life and curses the day he was born. This is a classic example of how no man is perfect and when Steven was introduced into Cry, the Beloved Country, he seemed to strive for perfection just as Job had in the bible. Job in theory seemed perfect but, Satan proved Job not to be, just as Steven's family proved him not to be. (Davis pp.265-272) (Bible p572-600) When brought into the story, both Steven and Job seem to be perfect and upright men. Steven, as a simple black parson and Job, as a upright man whom has shown no flaws. Though Steven's flaws are shown early on the novel, Cry, the Beloved County, he is still seen as a good man. Both men are examples of how bad things sometimes happen to good people. They both try to be the best men they can be, by fixing others mistakes and trying to be good people. Job offered burnt offerings to god everyday for his children who may have cursed god in their hearts and Steven prayed everyday to repent the sins of others and his own. The main thing that made these men eligible to lose so much, was because they had gained so much earlier in life.     My faith has enabled me to handle life challenges from my past and present.
