Ordinary Grace Challenges
Every day when we wake up, we are confronted with challenges. Some of the challenges are ones that we face every day, whereas some days we face brand new ones. Whether the challenge is simply getting out of bed and getting ready or dealing with a family emergency, we all face challenges each and every day. It is how we respond to these challenges that make us who we are. We can shy away from challenges and pretend they do not exist, or we can attack them through faith knowing we are not fighting on our own. Living a life for God will allow us to overcome anything thrown our way. Every day we are faced with challenges and if we respond to these challenges through God and knowing that God is there for us, we will be able to defeat the challenges thrown our way. In Ordinary Grace, the Drum family is faced with the challenge of their daughter being killed. With this tragic event happening in their lives, they had to decide how they were going to respond to the death of their daughter. Nathan Drum responds to the challenge through God and leans on his faith to help him get through the very difficult time. On the other hand, Ruth struggles with the death of her daughter and turns away from God and really starts to question her faith. It is easy to tell throughout Ordinary Grace that Nathan is the much stronger person. I think this is a

Leaning on God during this tough time helped my family and I get through it. Even though my grandpa is no longer with us, I now feel like I have an extra body looking over me. When I am working out, or competing, or even going through my normal everyday route, I know that my grandpa is right by my side leading me in the right direction. I do not think I would feel this way if I would not have turned to God during this difficult time and leaned on my
