It's All About Love
“IT’S ALL ABOUT LOVE”
By Therese Alva Hinoso

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” John 3:16-17. This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible in the book of John. I feel that I am loved by the King even no one else does. Even if others do not love me for who I am, I know and I feel that I am loved by my God. Jesus loves us so much, we should love Him more than anything else, with all our hearts and with all our soul and with our entire mind, because He died to save us from our sins. We are all blessed because Jesus loves us.
According to Mr. Webster, Love is unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another as the fatherly concern of God foe humankind, brotherly concern for others. Each one of us has the ability to love and to be loved. Love is the happiest part of life, but there are 3 sides of love; The Positive Side, Negative Side and Perfect Side of love. I have a story of Positive and unending love story. I’ve watched it on MMK last January 5, 2013. It was a story of two brothers named Roque and Raul. Roque is a reserved type of guy who sought help from his younger brother Raul to win the heart of his childhood crush Merlinda.
With Raul’s persistence and unwavering support, Merlinda finally said yes to Roque. However, just as things were about to work well between Roque and Merlinda as future husband and wife, Raul started falling in love with Merlinda, he secretly court Merlinda as a result Merlinda chose to marry Raul. They had children but when Merlinda delivers her last child, she died. Roque took care of Merlinda and Raul’s children. Roque died with no wife because he truly love Merlinda so much even if his brother Raul and Merlinda betrayed him, he did not revenge, he forgives his brother. That is the true meaning of Love.

“God so love[s]” humans with an intensity and boldness that will provide us with unmerited salvation. Through Jesus’s mission of penance, God remedied the central flaw of humanity: our inclination to sin. Yet God does not limit this love. God loves “the world,” which encompasses all people: the faithful, the pious, the non-believers, and the sinners searching for redemption. The emphasis on Jesus being God’s “only Son,” as well as the verb “gave,” highlights the remarkability of mere humans receiving such a unique and personal gift from the Lord.…

Love is defined in many ways. For most people, it brings images of commitment; to some, this image is attractive, and to others, repulsive. Love is not only about romance, however; there is also love between friends and family. Humans crave love. Therefore, we obsess over it. We dissect it, we romanticize it, and we ponder its meaning. Love is an incredible thing. And we don’t know love like we should. The real love, the love that sometimes is difficult, difficult to have, that’s that…

John 3:16” For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. That whoever should believe in him shall not parish, but have everlasting life.” That verse is more true to me today than it was 15 years ago. When I was five years old I became a Christian. One day I was riding my bike and I felt a tug at my heart to let Jesus into my life. After feeling that tug in my heart I went inside and told my Mom that I wanted to become a Christian. She prayed with me and I have been a Christian ever since.…

Let’s look at the spiritual dimension of love. Many scriptures in the Bible speak of it. “For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever shall believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. This verse in the Bible clearly states that God sent His son, Jesus Christ to the world to take care of our transgressions and our iniquities. Another verse in the Bible is a verse that all should be familiar with, considering it is one of the Ten Commandments. “Thou shalt not avenge, not bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:18. Many songs express the love of God or express how much His children love Him. “I love you Lord, and I lift my voice, to worship you, oh my soul, rejoice! Take joy, my King, in what You hear, and let it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear.” This song brings back memories for me because I remember I would go to church when I was a little girl, and I would hear my mother sing this song in the choir stands, and when we would go home, it would stay stuck in my head all day. This song and many more songs not only reminded me of how much I love God, but how much I love others around me.…
