Isaac Asimov Self Driving Cars
In 1953, Isaac Asimov wrote a story about self-driving cars. It shares many similarities to what is happening right now and what will happen in the future. There are even articles talking about self-driving cars that share many similarities to what happened in Sally. There are pro’s and cons to self-driving cars, and these articles feature both. The negative of self-driving cars are similar in both articles. Both passages discuss how self driving cars help the disabled travel. “Self-driving cars could mean transportation for potentially billions of people who are unable to drive because of age, disability or income.” (Undercoffler) The Newsela article talks about all disabled people will be able to have a car of their own. “Those were the days when blind war veterans, paraplegics and heads of state were the only ones who drove automatics.” (Asimov 3) Sally talks about how disabled war veterans will be able to be in a car it does all the work. …show more content…
