Depending on what time one woke up the following morning, when you walked outside you would get a whiff of the Sandbar’s burgers on the charcoal grill that would instantly capture your stomach’s attention. If that did not draw you near to the shack-like bar, the Beach Boys music that was blasting loud would. Since we normally go in the summer, I am used to watching the PGA Masters event on the Sandbar’s Sony 72” flat screen. Below the Sandbar’s deck are a flight of stairs. The bottom 3 steps are covered in sand that has a consistency similar to that of flour. As you step onto the sand for the first time of the day, you would find it hot from hours of exposure to the morning sun. The sand would be rather tossed at the step-in spot from where earlier beach patrons had previously stepped and are now walking around in front of you either…

Waimea beach is a long stretch of beach. At one end lies the mouth of the Waimea River and the far end goes out past the pier and towards Kekaha. It had been a few years since I had been to that beach and walked along the shore, and I have to admit that although it is not one of my favorite spots I found my trips there to be relaxing. There were also many things that I noticed about the beach, which I had never paid attention to before.…

    America the Beautiful

America is a unique individual with several defining qualities. Loudness and quietness coexisting in one place is remarkable and truly beautiful. Ocean City, New Jersey is a breathtaking place, as is America. Being on the beach is what I look forward to the most while preparing for vacation. Silence envelops my body on the beach, and yet waves crash down as adults and children scream and play. The most amazing part about the shore is tanning. Not because I like to get darker, but because I feel as though the sun embraces my body and gives me warmth—it’s a sense of ease, a sense of comfort. Even on the boardwalk, there’re so many people everywhere talking, laughing, eating—but the food is a completely different story. Anyway, being on top of a ride is exhilarating, yet so serene. It’s almost as good as one of my best recollections from vacation.…

Orlando has so many different amusement parks and water parks that it has always been hard to choose which one to go. The number of parks we visited on each trip depended on how long our vacation would be. However most of the time my siblings and I would choose Universal Studios since it had two different sides of the park. If you ever get the chance to go to Universal Studios you must ride Harry Potter. You’re on the broom in the sky dodging from books, spiders, ghosts, and other creepy objects. If you enjoy that ride you must walk over to Island of Adventures and try the Incredible Hulk. This amazing ride shoots you into the air, spins you around, hangs you upside down and does it over again in reverse. Next, you should head to the Mummy. Sitting in a dark room you then began to travel through fire as suddenly you are surrounded by thousands of roaches.…

Going to the beach is always filled with sensory experiences that are precise to ones memory and natural sensations, including the sun burnt dried out skin from baking in the sun, the fresh ocean smell regularly disrupted by the overwhelming odor of sunblock, and the sounds of crashing waves and crying birds that gets washed away. Florida is known for so many beaches, but Cocoa Beach is the only place that was unforgettable. The sand between your toes, the ocean wind going through your hair, the taste of the salty ocean mist, and the feeling of ultimate relaxation on the beach; what more can you ask for?…
