I feel this would be a great business venture since the other nearest ice cream parlor is 3 miles away off campus. This would be convenient to the university students and also to the ice cream parlor. My recommendations would be to offer a student discount to all of the students on a certain day with their student ID. We could hire part time staff from the students, which would help boost the ratings of the parlor. However, the only downfall I see would be the summer and winter breaks when the students leave and go home. Although not all of them would be going home it would decrease business while they are

The point of this study is to distinguish and recognize the different eating lifestyles and spending habits between male and female relating to eating for lunch while in the workplace. A short questionnaire of eight questions, which the interviewee developed, circulated to five male and five female in a controlled setting. I carefully calculated and analyzed the participant’s answers. The survey included two types of questions in the questionnaire. Some questions required a simple yes or no answer and others required the participants to respond by writing a numerical response. Through developing the questions the researcher made every attempt to develop the legitimacy of the questionnaire and the trustworthiness of the data collected. The survey questions were intended to increase the consistency of each answer that was given by the interviewee on the survey.…

The irony of Hills' topic choice is humorous to many readers. Because most people are quite skilled in the simple act of ice cream consumption, they find the notion of a how-to guide on the subject quite humorous. Throughout the essay, Hills treats his topic as if it were a serious and essential part of any reader's knowledge. This seriousness seems sorely out of place in an essay describing frozen dairy product ingestion. Through this ironic treatment of his topic, Hills presents the reader with a humorous look at a usually overlooked aspect of American life.…

Baskin-Robbins Brand Officer Ken Kimmel felt it was important to conduct this study because the frozen-food retailing industry had become more hostile to Baskin-Robbins in recent years. A few entrants such as Cold Stone Creamery and others had popularized the in-store experience. Cold Stone Creamery's sales were now almost 75 percent of Baskin-Robbins' sales. The contest has changed since the mid-1980s'. Customers are more demanding about the hospitality experience. They earn more money and they can buy comparable ice creams to Baskin-Robbins in grocery stores now. While BR’s competitors are pushing this mix-in experience - a higher price theater experience.…

In the first place we have to see in general why people buy ice creams, and what value it has to them this type of product and then we have to analyze the different types of markets because the reasons will change accordingly with the type of (children or adults, for example) and product (premium or not, for example). So basically the answer to this question is that the reason why consumers buy an ice cream depend of some variable factors that I will try to explain here. Consumers just buy a product because of the value it has to them, because it satisfy a need they had and possibly they didn´t know. In the case of Ice creams, in general people buy the normal type of ice cream because of the flavor, the ice cream is competing with other kind of candies, it´s a treat and it´s associate with having fun outdoors in the summer. But this is a limited vision of the reality because the ice cream market is far more complex than this and with the introduction of premium ice creams such as Haagen-Dazs, the rules changed completely. With the creation of a new market segment the reasons why average costumers bought the product changed because before the target were children that bought the ice cream has a candy and know are the adults that look to an ice cream as a sophisticated pleasure, an indulgency. So the more premium the ice cream is costumers will buy the product more for the experience itself and the less premium the product is costumers will buy the ice cream only for the taste and having in mind the price.…
