How To Write A Peer Review Paper
The peer review forced me to engage with another student and analyze their work while having the same done to mine. This peer review allowed me to realize how many little mistakes I had in my document. I have to fix a few missing commas and even a misspelled word along with a sentence or two needing some rewording to clear things up. Another aspect of the peer review that helped me was seeing the formatting and style of another person and being able to possibly make minor tweaks to my document.
A question I would ask the peer reviewer is; is it possible for you to go into more detail on why you think this sentence is unclear? In what ways can I really improve this document?

The purpose of this report is to describe a peer-reviewed journal article that has been identified from a primary literature source. I chose to perform a search through Pubmed based on the enzyme Catalase, reasoning that it should deepen my understanding of the enzyme allocated to my BABS1201 laboratory group. In the end, I was unable to find any primary literature sources that would help with the assignment but I did find an article that I thought would be appropriate. The journal article I chose is titled Serum albumin alters the expression of iron-controlled genes in Pseudomonas aeruginosa from the peer-reviewed journal, Microbiology.…

This standard will be assessed during the classroom peer review activity. The students will be having one-on-one discussions on their paper; both what was good about it and what needs improvement. Shantell’s paper for the most part was easy to follow and got the point across about Valero Energy Corporation. One thing I noticed was a couple sentences needed words deleted or added in order to make more sense. There were some also some APA format issues that needed to be addressed. Overall, the paper was informative about the future of Valero as well as the making sure customer needs are addresses. Especially in the world we live in it is important to address customer needs as well as environmental ones. I also found it informative about the whole Valero Company, I didn’t realize there are so many subsidiaries.…

Resilience in any human being is vital but it also is important because it is the human capacity to face, overcome and strengthen by or even transformed by the adversities of life (Grotberg E., Unknown). Every individual faces some sort of adversities which means that no one is exempt (Grotberg E. Unknown). Children are no exception to adversities so they must form resilience so they can overcome trauma (Grotberg E., Unknown). Articles that will be discussed will show different mother-child interaction and resilience in children with early developmental risk and also using the resiliency scales for children and adolescents who are in the school settings. When it comes to writing a paper, I always want other to read my paper to make sure if I did the paper write. In this class, I got to talk to my classmates about my topic and share their ideas to narrow down the topic. It also helped me develop research questions. A peer review helped me realize my mistakes and develop more ideas. Those ideas not only helped write my paper in a different way, but it also showed me what else I need in my paper to make it a better essay. One of the things I really like about this class is the feedback from the instructor. Most instructors will only show the mistakes in an assignment, but Julia showed me exactly what I did wrong and how I could fix it. Julia showed us the techniques that I wanted to learn before I move on to my next class. These skill and techniques are the one I took into a count to use for my next classes.…

I learned that writing a paper is not only difficult for me but also to my peers. They struggled a lot with getting their thoughts down on paper just like I did. I learned that writing essays is not easy for anyone, especially when writing under pressure. I learned that sometimes leaving your writing for last minute can be a bad thing because they begin to write nonsense in order to get there work done. My peers writing assignments showed me what are the correct things to add to my paper, and what not to add to my paper.…

Wilson, L (2008) explains that “Both peer and self – assessment generally lead to reflective practice. Both are the ability to judge oneself and involve a critical analysis of the individual learner. Peer assessment is based on learning from each other and is therefore a good way to share ideas and best practice.…

When I first joined the class I didn’t know anyone, but after a few weeks of doing peer review I meet a lot of people in class. Doing peer review is helpful because my group will make changes on my essay and they help make my essay stronger by recommending what to do on the essay. I can successfully write an essay in class because I know how to give a successful thesis statement, transition, introduction, conclusions, and well-developed paragraphs. I enjoyed taking English 50 this semester because it was fun doing an essay on a movie and a…

Throughout this semester I have received a lot of input and criticism on my essays from my TA, my professor and fellow students. This semester I was fortunate to receive quick, fairly reliable, built in feedback. From the feedback that I have received by taking this class I believe that I have become a better writer as it was beneficial for the most part. Feedback that I received from my fellow students was occasionally helpful. It typically varied from week to week. One week I would write a paper and get a ton of markings and criticism on it which was helpful because I was able to see what I did wrong and I would rarely have to get it proof read another time. Other times I would turn in a paper and it would come back with few markings and comments. This felt almost like a waste of time because I knew that I had more mistakes that I did not catch earlier. Because of this I would have to go out of my way and someone else would have to go out of their way to get it proof read again, or I would risk handing in the good copy with mistakes. One thing that I appreciated from peer evaluation days was that was able to see what worked in my paper, what did not and what I need to improve on.…

Having the opportunity to be in a collaborative learning environment can help you in many ways. Collaborating with other students gives you a chance to express your individual opinion about different topics, and you can see the different prospective from other students. 1. There wasn't a difference between my self assessment and the peer review. I dressed appropriately, participated in our group, and helped make the posters. I can't actually remember if there was anything different on the poster presentation though. I do feel that every poster and peoples taste in how a poster should look is different so I will have to leave that assessment up to you.…
