Disneyland is very large 160 acre amusement park located in Anaheim CA. Disneyland was created by Walt Disney on July 17, 1955, Walt Disney wanted to create a magical place where parents with children could go to the same place and have just as much fun as their children. Walt Disney had the vision that he wanted Disneyland to be like a fantasy land where dreams could come to life. Disneyland is a 17.5 million dollar magic kingdom. Even though the park was a very expensive project, “I could never convince the financiers that Disneyland was feasible, because dreams offer too little collateral” said Walt Disney. Since Disney was a very expensive project, Walt Disney had some support from his own television show on ABC; it was called Walt Disney’s Disneyland. The TV series offered sneak peeks about the future Disneyland project before it was even finished. It took a full year of hard work to finish the project.…
He created Disneyland. This $17 million dollar project was not easy, but it didn’t stop him. On July 17, 1955, Disneyland was opened. The park was not completely ready yet, but Walt did not want to push back the opening date. There were complaints about some of the rides not working properly, the minimum amount of water fountains that were found around the park, but after a few days everything was working like a well-oiled machine. On October 1st, 1971 Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida opened. This was Walt Disney’s last project before he died. He died on December 15, 1966. Disney died before Epcot opened due to lung cancer. This was because he smoked. His brother Roy continued the construction of the park after he died.…

He wanted a place where adults and their children could come to enjoy Walt Disney Studio's works, since the studio wasn't large enough to accommodate the number of people who wanted to come visit. Construction of Disney Land started on July 24th, 1954 then opened on July 17th, 1955. Then eventually created Disney World to supplement Disney Land. Disney World would be built by Roy O. When he passed away, construction was centered around building an attraction that was similar to Disney Land. Construction, in truth has never ended for Disney World, but the grand opening happened on October 1st,…

There is most likely no one in this country that has not heard of Disneyland, Disneyworld, or even Mickey Mouse. They are too popular to not know. Walt Disney had an idea of what the people wanted so he decided that he was going to make them come true because “all our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them” (Disney)(“Walter Elias Disney”). Walter Disney wanted to leave an impression on the world that all things are possible. He took the dreams of Americans and made them come true, and to this day, Disney has inspired many and even gave them something to smile about (“Walt Disney: Long Biography”). The history of Disneyland started with Walt Disney’s vision of a place where parents and children could have a magical time together. According to Just Disney, he started dreaming of creating this place in 1944 but World War II put his plans on hold. In 1953, he had the Stanford Research Institute conduct a survey for a 100-acre site, outside of Los Angeles to find out what people would like to see in this enchanted place. Walt Disney found out he needed space to build rivers, waterfalls, and mountains. He would have flying elephants and giant teacups, a fairy-tale castle, moon rockets, and a scenic railway; all inside a magical place he would call "Disneyland” (Wingert.) Chris Wingert stated that Disneyland was very expensive to build but Disney said “I could never convince the financiers that Disneyland was feasible, because dreams offer too little collateral”. Construction for the park began on July 21, 1954, a year before opening was scheduled. After construction begun, the history of Walt Disney would never be the same. Since the area was an orange grove, 160-acres of citrus trees had to be cleared and 15 houses were moved to make room for the park (Wingert.) After spending close to $17,000,000, Disneyland finally opened on July 17, 1955 in Anaheim, California. Wingert identified that opening day was a complete disaster, with the temperature over 110 degrees, thousands of…
