Early life Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo had an almost unknown early life. He was born March 13, 1499 Montalegre, Portugal. Although many other small cities of Portugal claim to be his birthplace. Juan would take a harsher wound trying to help his crew by climbing over rocks, but would break his shin bone and it would get infected with gangrene, a disease. That expedition they went on, would never reach success, as they never found a really rich city. However they would claim more land for Spain and 2 centuries later that very same land would turn into Mexico.

He also discovered a gold mine in Guatemala and would help import and export the goods to the new world. Soon France would come in a war with new Spain and Mexico weakened France. So when Canada tried to attack the French, France had surrendered. So it made it really easy for Canada to get in France. So Juan made Mexico rich making France want to get some gold and they had a war in which Canada would easily take over

The First reason why I believe the legend is false is because there is not enough evidence to prove that Juan Diego existed. Miguel Sanchez, a Mexican Priest, first published the famed legend in 1648. It was a surprise to the people of Mexico City to never have heard the story. Sanchez even admitted that he did not find any documentary evidence of his story. With all the friars and Native people translating and producing a variety of documents such as chronicles, dictionaries, and confessional manuals, not one document was found between 1531 and 1648…

When Columbus landed on what is now known as San Salvador he had his first encounters with the native people of North America. When he met these people he noticed several things at first, their use of gold as jewelry, the fact that they seemed to have no god and followed no religion, and that their weaponry was extremely basic and that it would take little effort to take over their entire island. On his voyages he took many natives prisoner and kidnapped several and took them back to Spain to show people what they looked like. Many of the natives died on the travel back to Spain and Columbus killed any natives in tribes that refused to trade goods or convert to Christianity. The Spanish explorers were noble men who traveled across the sea’s to explore new land and new areas. In this case, the Spanish explorers were Christopher Columbus and Hernan Cortez, both of which are from Spain, and lived in the late 1400’s and early 1500’s. The reason Columbus and Cortez are so important in our history is because without them Central and South America would be so different today. Due to their huge impact on the Americas, it is important to understand why they even traveled their to begin with. Although some think they traveled out of curiosity, the Spanish explorers were motivated to leave home and conquer the Americas because of riches and possessions, obtaining new land for Spain, and to spread the religion of Christianity.…
