Honor and Courage
.■ Honor and Courage

The honor is honesty, fairness, or integrity in one's beliefs and actions; and the courage is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face life difficulties. This two values depends one to the other and in difficult situations you have to have courage to defend your honor and the good values that you have. For this reason Honor and courage are basic on human lives and it is imperative to teach these values and give them the most importance. Both of the two values represent who we are and how brave we are to confront life difficulties; but I ask to myself did these values have to be sacrificed to be accepted or to make us look better?

It is amazing how in the declaration of independence is mention the honor and the honor is not usually see in our daily lives. Maybe it is because people don’t have courage to confront their problems and preferred to lie instead of saying the truth. Or it is because people have fear of what the people will think? The lack of honor has been shown in the increase of crimes and injustices in our world; it has been shown in the daily basis when students copy from others instead of making the work or when people pretend to be your friend and in your back talk bad about you. We just sacrifice our honor to make us look better.

The courage is what makes us stronger it is how brave we are is just how mature you are to confront daily things. The courage is what we all said that we have but in difficult moments is so difficult to let it out: it is so difficult maybe for us to be brave and say what we think or want. Maybe that is the reason for us to loose our honor, because we want to save us from difficulties we want to be accepted we want to be better than the others. We sacrifice these values, this values that represent what we are. The courage should be one of the most important things in our lives because on the way of our life we will be many difficulties and if we don’t have

Atticus defending the Tom Robinson case despite what anyone else in the community had to say . Atticus was not only being courageous by defending the case but because he stood up for what he believed in not only for himself but to set an example for his children .
