Our team was very impressed with our instructor for this class for the simple reason that the material that we are learning about was in real life scenarios. During class we covered topics like gross domestic product, gross national product, and how raw materials are used throughout the world. Our team was also interested in how economic indicators shape the world we live in. After doing the research for this paper we all were intrigued that there are organizations in the world that track and save historic data on countries throughout the world. As we did research and we discovered that International Monetary Fund collects data on hundreds of companies, and also includes information on quantitative as well as qualitative information on each country. We all are looking forward to next weeks assignments which will cover monetary policies and procedures.…
Initially, although Brazil has just recently been thought of as entering it’s own golden age, many past activities have set this country up for the success it is emerging to be. In 1937 a preservation act was passed declaring a protection order on all monuments and architecture that Brazil was made from. This act has secured past artifacts that represent the basis Brazil was founded on. By securing these precious treasures in the past, Brazil has secured a set architectural future. By protecting these artifacts Brazil is showing the support it shows for the ancestors of Brazil. By colliding the need for the past to be preserved and the need to update their “ancient” technology world, Brazil has three primary reasons why it has another historic wealth creation underway (Rogers, Web). These reasons include the broadband penetration, smartphone usage and new entrepreneurs. In 2010, less than 20% of households had broadband. However with the National Broadband Plan, 2014 is projected to connect more than 72% of all Brazilian households. This will create a tidal wave of online consumerism and opportunities for upcoming entrepreneurs. In the past year the smartphone has been swept up four times the amount of the rest of the world by Brazil. Not only does the…

It’s interesting to me that consumers continue to buy from the Brazilian industries although they are not in the greatest conditions. Brazil has many ways that they categorize their social classes, but the most common one is upper, middle and lower class. The people that are seen as being part of the upper class are those that are wealthy and are supposed to be white. They are usually employed as investors, landlords, business owners, doctors, engineers, graduated professors, lawyers, politicians, directors, managers and many more in which they are very skillful in. The children of the higher class are the ones that get high education and get to go to high quality schools and post-secondary institutions. They live a comfortable life and get to use the main entrance of any house or office.…

Geography
Brazil occupies almost one-half of the entire South America continent, and is the fifth largest country in the world. It borders all Latin American countries except Chile and Ecuador. The 9,170km coastline and the 50,000km navigable inland waterways provide great potentials for water transportation which has not been well developed.

Brazil is topographically relatively flat. 40% of the land is under the Amazon Rain Forest. Most of the arable land is found in the South, but the process of land development for agriculture is pushing into the Central-West and the North as well. The climate is mainly tropical and sub-tropical, and is particularly humid and rainy in the Amazon region and along the coast. Temperate climate is found in the south and on the higher lands. The nation is free from earthquakes, hurricanes and cyclones, but rainstorms, drought and frost occasionally cause considerable damage.

Demography and Social Patterns
Population is around 155 million and growing at about 2% per year.
