Social Classes In Brazil
Brazil has many ways that they categorize their social classes, but the most common one is upper, middle and lower class. The people that are seen as being part of the upper class are those that are wealthy and are supposed to be white. They are usually employed as investors, landlords, business owners, doctors, engineers, graduated professors, lawyers, politicians, directors, managers and many more in which they are very skillful in. The children of the higher class are the ones that get high education and get to go to high quality schools and post-secondary institutions. They live a comfortable life and get to use the main entrance of any house or office.

    Brazil is located in South America, takes up almost half of the continent, and is the fifth largest country in the world(1). Problems of poverty are prevalent in Brazil 40% of the county’s income goes to the top 10% of financially richest people where only about 1% of the income goes to the bottom 10%(1) about 35% of Brazil’s population lives in poverty(19). As of 2010 90.4% of Brazil's population is literate (17), out of Brazil’s total population approximately 50.8% are female although women only take up 43.7% of the workforce (3).
