Outcome 1
1. Diversity-means acknowledging that people can be different because of their culture, race, disability.
Equality-means equal rights for people regardless of what factors they might have that are different. Equality states that because they are human they must be equal/
Inclusion-is bases upon the idea of allowing everyone equal access to a service regardless of gender, disability, religions ETC.
Discrimination-treating a person or group less favourably than another in the same situation, usually on account of their race, age, gender, disability or relgion.
2. Discrimination may deliberately occur in the work place because they may be being treated less favourable, or treated differently because of their gender, age, race, disability, sexuality, or religion.Discrimination may inadvertently take place when a rule or policy that applies equally to everybody is more restrictive for people from a certain group.
3.By supporting a person’s equality you are treating them as equal and including them in all activities, you will be reducing the likelihood of discrimination.

there are various pieces of legislation in place to promote equality and reduce discrimination these include The disability discrimination act 2005 The Race Relations act 2000 The Human Race Act 1998 The sex discrimination act 1975
2. Always challenge discrimination. Do it in a calm and professional way and tell the individual that what they are saying is unacceptable. You can also say that you are upset and offended by discriminatory words.
