Francine's Case Summary
In the instance of intervening with the systems provided above a social worker could have been an advocate in a police report on Francine’s behalf. They could have provided officers with documentation on the severity of the probability of him injuring one of the children during his tantrums. There should have also been a law demanding immediate removal and safety assurance due to the fact that there were children were involved. “Some of the most commonly identified services…involved counseling the victim while interrogating the suspect. By working cooperatively with the officer the team is able to impact victims at the point of crisis when they may be most amenable to services and change” (Corcoran, Stephenson, Perryman, & and allen, 2012).
