Hey Virginia, there is more than just a Santa Claus. Nowadays, Americans have either forgotten or ignored Christmas traditions put in place over 1500 years ago. They would rather indulge in the gifts and shopping to please their family than sit back and enjoy the holiday. The original purpose of Christmas, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, has been trampled and overshadowed by a marketeer’s interpretation of how to represent the holiday. Santa and snowmen have become the faces of Christmas, instead of the Son…

“Rudolph the red-nosed Reindeer, You'll go down in history.” Now, I’m sure all of you have probably heard of Rudolph before. As a kid, I loved and dutifully watched this Christmas Special every year. It was about Rudolph and his dream of one day being apart of the team that would deliver toys to children around the world on Christmas. However, there was one slight problem. Rudolph was born with a bright red, glowing nose. Now, I thought it was really cool that his nose literally glowed, but the other reindeer didn’t exactly agree with my sentiment, and Rudolph was treated as an outcast. Because of this, he decided to run away, and discovered the Island of Misfit Toys, a safe haven for all of the toys that were also shunned because of their…
