Abdul and Giles are both farmers in their different countries, Abdul is from Afghanistan while Giles is from Britain. Out in Afghanistan there is a dry, semi-desert climate and with only 372mm of rain every year in Kabul, the capital, it makes it very difficult to grow crops. London on the other hand has about twice as much rain which makes life a lot easier for Giles, he grows barley and wheat and earns around £25000 from his farm. Abdul used to grow wheat too but stopped 16 years ago in 1997 because the job was very difficult and without the facilities he couldn’t make enough money to look after and feed his family.…

The piece of work is a painting. “The Histrionic Wayfarer (after Bosch)”, is the title of the artwork which was painted by Tim Storrier and was exhibited in the Archibald Prize Exhibition in 2012. The media used was acrylic on canvas and the dimensions were 183X122 cm. The subject of the piece was himself. The image has a faceless man walking in a very spacious and deserted area. It has a worm’s eye view which makes the person appear quiet large, maybe to show more detail? The man is carrying a giant back-pack containing art equipment, food utensils, a dog and much more.…

Through the use of Encoders and Decoders you can filter out interference signals from other devices such as when talking about a remote control. When using a wireless remote control system it is desirable to have a way of filtering out or ignoring those unwanted signals to prevent false data from being received. A simple way to accomplish this is to use an encoder IC at the transmitter and a decoder IC at the receiver. The encoder generates serial codes that are automatically sent three times and must be received at least twice before data is accepted as valid by the decoder circuit…

The crime control model and due process model are from my understanding of our reading materials this week a safety net of sorts. I say this because one protects the innocent from the criminals, while the other one protects the criminals from the system. In theory this makes sure that if you have done something wrong you will have to face up to it, while causing as little harm as possible to the innocents involved. It also was put in place to ensure that you are not punished to harshly for a crime that is committed. For instance you would not use lethal injection for someone Jay walking. These two processes are in place to make sure that doesn’t happen, and that we have to be able to prove you were jay walking in the first place in order to convict you. We do this in hopes of not putting innocents in our jail systems.…

The role of police in society is to maintain order and enforce justice amongst the community. Their duty is to bring those who are criminally charged with a crime to the courts in the state to be punished properly for their actions. The role of the police is to protect the community at all costs. Millions of things would happen if the role changed or was lessened for them from different needs within the structure of the facilities and squads needs and to the community that it lessened for. These changes are in things such as organizational structure, changes in management, strategic planning, and changes in programs and certain crime analysis systems.…

Many Americans fail to see the great importance of exercise. There are so many ways that exercise contributes to everyday life. The right amount of exercise can prevent disease, obesity, and even death. Studies have shown that the United States is the most obese country in the world and there is no doubt that this is because of the fact that we waste food and prevent ourselves from exercising. People who see exercise as a waste of time, should understand that exercise is essential to life because it prevents obesity, prevents diabetes and stress, it’s not very time consuming, and leads to a long and healthy life. The first reason that people who dislike exercise should realize, is that exercise prevents obesity. It is true that not everyone who doesn’t exercise is fat, but many people are. A poll posted on ABC News stated: “among those who get no exercise, — 28 percent — are obese.” This evidence proves that exercise is extremely important to daily life. Therefore, exercise is essential to preventing obesity. Secondly, people who can’t stand exercising should see that daily exercise prevents diabetes and stress. Exercise is a great way to relief stress and it prevents diabetes by managing the amounts of insulin taken into your bloodstream. In an article discussing the importance of exercise, I read this statement: “Exercise also helps to regulate the amount of insulin released into the bloodstream.” (Ambassador Youth) Therefore, exercise helps to prevent diabetes. In another article, I read this statement: “While there's no scientific evidence to conclusively support the neurotransmitter theory, there is plenty to show that exercise provides stress-relieving benefits.” ( SnyderHealth.com) This article went on to describe four ways that exercise controls stress. These ways included: Helping people feel less anxious, relaxing people, making others feel better about themselves, and making people eat better. Therefore, I can conclude that exercising is a great way to…
