It makes sense for a man on okcupid who has Prudence in his profile name to search for people who went to medical school since they may be more apt to be helpful in a medical emergency but I found you searching for the keyword basketball which I guess says something about my messed up priorities. Although I am from New England, I have spent a few weeks in Michigan(Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Southfield) where I believe you grew up and Minnesotta as well. Before moving out to Berkeley, CA many years ago, I actually checked out the Triangle Park area of North Carolina. I wasn’t able to see the Duke campus but Chapel Hill is beautiful.

I grew up in a sports obsessed household even from Boston area standards where spent much more time reading the sports section of the newspapers than actual books. Family members were not only often playing and watching sports but my father on a volunteer basis served as president of a youth basketball league for nearly 3 decades. Sometimes my father would conduct free afternoon basketball clinics and one of the clinics Mike Krzyzewski of Duke actually led.

Some of the programs allow you to save thousands on the price of a new car, pick the car up in Germany and then drop it off in another European country at the end of your vacation. I only mention this idea since you said you like to drive fast and there is no speed limit on the Autobahn.

If you choose to respond, I have a couple of different questions for you. I am curius if you played any high school sports and also what you did in the Duke athletic office besides secure easier access to basketball tickets. What is your favorite Big 10 football team?

I chose to apply to WVU SOM because of the university’s large social role and association with the state. I am interested in learning about the university’s and state’s plan to address underserved populations. Moreover, I believe WVU SOM’s program will provide me the tools to teach patients about their health. I believe transferring knowledge to the community will be the first step in encouraging and changing to healthy lifestyles.…

“Teely, because I’m so interested in seeing you apply with your Eagle Vision Application…” Central University. “An exclusive invitation from UNCP..” UNC Pembroke. “Mai-Teelee, you’ll want to read this.” Western Carolina. All these colleges and universities showed interest in me by reaching out through emails and letters in the mail but, it wasn’t them whom I was interested in. It was you, UNC Chapel Hill. The first time I heard about you was back in my sophomore year, in AP Environmental Science by a group of classmates who had visited the campus. At that time, I didn’t care that much for colleges. I was still worried about joining clubs and trying to make more friends and just, have fun. Like any other teenager. However, I became intrigued. Just what was it that made this school so well known and liked? Once I decided that I would aim for the medical field, my friends suggested, of course, Chapel Hill. You. They said “It’s a great medical school and you’ll get in easily because you’re Asian.” And being naive, I believed them. I didn’t quite realize just how high your expectations were. But it wouldn’t be too difficult I assumed…

Washington State has been my dream college since I was a baby. It has been my families university of choice. The two most influential in my life Uncle Tony Grafton and Grandpa Donald Grafton, both alumni, raised me as a cougar. At my birth my Uncle Tony Grafton showed up at the hospital with a stuffed cougar from the WSU bookstore that sang the fight song and a baseball hat. At the time Tony was still attending WSU. As a baby I'd run around the house singing the cougar fight song instead of baby lullabies; and that WSU baseball hat rarely left my head. I had worn that baseball cap so often as a young boy, I had turned the…
