Providing opportunities for primary-aged children to understanding who they are and their environment around them is vital to their success in life because it allows them to identify themselves as a unique member of a specific group. Once they understand their self to be a unique individual it becomes easy for their self-confidence to enhanced. Primary-aged teachers need to provide opportunities for them to develop a secure sense of self through new challenges and learning experiences. They learn best through opportunities, provided by their teacher, to explore their own feelings and abilities. But they still rely on the support of their teachers to reassure their behavior and to assist them when they need help understanding something they are unfamiliar
