Art On my final project the mediums I used were color pencil, oil pastels, chalk pastels, and paint. My intent was to make the entire mediums blend together to look as one medium was used, though I struggled a bit. If I had the opportunity to rework any piece I would have made the main medium color pencil instead of chalk pastel. I would like to change this because the color pencil is more detailed, and I found it cleaner and easier to use. Also, I would’ve changed the chalk pastel by making it more detailed like the colored pencil area. One of my works of art was the hands. The use of medium in this piece was pencil. My intent of the work was to draw and shade correctly, so that it will look like real hands. If I was able to rework this piece in a different medium I would choose charcoal because I think it would be easier to give it value, though it would be difficult to add detail to the hands. Another work of art that I did was a watercolor painting. The use of medium was watercolor. My intent was to make the flowers look realistic and use the correct colors and to not mix all of my colors together and have everything neat. If I could rework this piece in a different medium I would choose chalk pastel because I would find it easier to give it a more realistic look. My third work of art that I did was cubism. The medium I used was oil pastels. My intent of the work was to make the oil pastels blend together to make a nice value. If I could rework this piece in another medium I would use chalk pastels because I find it easier to have a smoother transition and to add more value to it. We studied many different artists and they all had their own different and unique styles. One artist that I studied was Georgia O’Keeffe, the mediums that she mainly used were watercolor and oil pastels. She had many different styles; some of the styles that she used were abstract and realism. Most of O’Keeffe’s work was done in New Mexico, that’s where she became known for all
