English 101A Reflection
I am coming to the end of my English 101A course and I are astonished by the knowledge that I have gained in such a short period as it relates to the syllabus of the course Introductory to college writing with an emphasis on the process of critical thinking, reading and writing.
The first phase of the course, instructed me on the foundation of English grammar as it relates to sentence structure, comas, verb tense, punctuation, and diction, which are key to improving your writing skills. This was the most critical lesson of all for me, because I begin to understand, the concept of a good writer, which is not to simply write, but to ensure that you follow the rules when to use and not use commas, semicolons, apostrophe, quotation marks, end punctuation and other

This essay was challenging and very difficult to write, because there were two subjects related to one another, however, I had to prove in my writing that there was a difference of which succeed and received a passing grade for my essay.
Nevertheless, I did not to fare well on my next essay cause and effect, I followed phase 1-3 as instructed in the class, however, my writing fell flat, as I lost myself in a maze of writing, trying to understand the Professor topic subject Domestic Abuse/Ray Rice incident, and completely missed the mark and so did my essay of which I need improvement.
Writing can, be frustrating, without the instructional knowledge of the basic principles needed to keep readers informed. This class has taught me a few important basics about writing. Although I am not always able to predict the topic, I can be flexible and know which outline to use to succeed in any writing that I do. Also, I learned to write different style essays so I will be able to take that format and apply it to my next English course
Sincerely,
Sharon

ENG101 has taught me the importance of using references and how using the proper writing guidelines can improve someone’s writings. Using references establishes that the thoughts and information that you are providing is accurate and true. When using the proper writing guidelines it helps one put their thoughts into proper order and make sense of what is being said. Using the guidelines also assists in making the writing process not so daunting, by breaking it up into smaller pieces. Reflection On English 111

English 111 is the first college English class I have taken, but despite that I feel I would be able to bring a lot into this class. First of all, I enjoy writing and reading, so I am enthusiastic about my work. I love to learn, which means reading textbooks is not a problem for me (especially ones on grammar; I own a few of those myself). When I write, I try to be as objective as I can, and although I may have opinions I find that I can easily put those aside to write an unbiased essay. However, when writing a persuasive paper, I am able to fully support the cause I am writing about, whether or not I truly agree with it. Lastly, I am a helpful person and often one who is called on to assist my peers when necessary. I am a quick leaner and take good notes, so helping others is often an easy task for me, but when I cannot be of assistance, I do my best to help them find someone who will help.…

This Class not only helped enhance my writing abilities but to also better evaluate the writings of others and forced me to acknowledge the rigorous work of future courses in college.…

This semester, in the English 100 class that I have taken, I realize I have learned a lot more than I originally thought. In my efforts of writing this paper, flipping through my different notes, I really have learned how to write better papers. I learned how to use a web-log, also referred to as a blog. I had never posted on a blog and I didn’t even know what one was. It is very interesting to me that our English classes were able to read each others postings and writings on the blog we used for our homework and also comment on other peoples work. And, that anybody on the world-wide web can also read and comment on our writings. I have also learned about the difference between “academic” writing and non-academic writing. These are different…

Within English 103 much was taught throughout these few weeks. Writing about five essays, including this one. Lessons that were taught from the very beginning all the way to the end were very effective and have enhanced how I write. Most significant and effective lessons taught in my opinion were the many ways of pre-writing, sentence structures, and importance of reading what you have written out loud as a way of review. Each of these processes have advanced the way I write.…
