Other green products are biodegradable, recyclable or compostable. Hence, they do not harm the environment or upset the ecological balance when they are disposed of.
There are also eco friendly products that are made out of recycled materials. These recycle products help reduce the need for new raw materials and the amount of waste sent to landfills and incinerators (because waste can be diverted to making recycled products).

Most people would agree that recycling not only affects the environment but it also makes the world a better place for plants and animals. For example, recycling paper products can in the end, preserve a large number of trees that otherwise be used to make new paper. This is one way that recycling directly affects the environment. Trees provide homes for birds and other animals, they provide shade for what would otherwise be a hot and dry land, and they are crucial to the oxygen/carbon dioxide balance in our atmosphere. Recycling can definitely have a positive effect on our world.…

Going green is the new movement in America. Corporations are creating products that they like to call “eco friendly,” meaning they will not harm the environment. These corporations want us to believe that products such as light bulbs, cosmetics, cleaning products and even cars will help slow down the process of global warming and will help the environment. While some of these may be sufficient, some are not. Using non-toxic cleaning products is one way we can to keep our environment clean.…

If a product is not biodegradable and you throw it away, it will be there for 10 of thousand of years depending on the material. Except for Styrofoam which will never break down. If it does, it will break up into tiny pieces by the sun and will be eaten by fish. The fish could die from it. Also who eats these fish? You do. So you are eating plastic probably!…

A green consumerist is one who believes in, buys and uses products that are safe for environment. Many people feel they are true friends of the environment just because they recycle bottles, newspapers, plastics and cans or buy unleaded petrol or environmentally friendly items. If that is all they do, then such people only pay lip service to green consumerism. Practising recycling alone gives people a false sense of satisfaction. The real methods of saving the planet go beyond recycling or buying unleaded petrol. To be a green consumerist means making a social change – a willingness to sacrifice some of the luxuries and conveniences one is used to and going back to basics.…
