What Is Greening The City
What is greening the city?
Greening the city means raising the awareness of citizens on the importance of conserving the environment, improve the environmental performance in a country and to change your own lifestyle to a more environmentally friendly way.
It is a process of becoming more active about protecting the environment and to achieve the renewable, sustainable and eco-friendly processes, products and energy.

Why greening a country is so important?
Greening a country is very important because it lifts up the quality of life, beautifying the environment, saving natural resources and ease the enormous pressure on the world's ecological system, balancing the economic, environmental and social aspects in the development process, it also ensures that our future generations can continue to live in a clean and green environment.

Angel: “Korea recognizes the symbiotic relationship between economic growth and environmental sustainability.” By the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea. Korea has been at the forefront of green growth plans. It has claimed low-carbon green growth as its new national vision. There is a Korea’s National Strategy for Green Growth, which was launched in 2009 by the Korean central government. It provides a comprehensive policy framework for green growth. In the long term, the National Strategy for Green Growth aims to firstly, promote a synergistic relationship between economic growth and environmental protection, secondly, to improve quality of life and promote a green revolution in Korean lifestyles, lastly, to contribute to international efforts to fight climate change and other environmental threats. These overall aims will be achieved through three main aspects, to mitigate climate change and promoting energy independence, to create new engines for economic growth, and to improve the quality of life and enhancing Korea’s international standing.
An example of the proposed policies is to bring green revolution into daily lives.

Environmental technologies, such as renewable energies, recycling technologies, technologies for sustainable transport, etc. are increasingly seen as the drivers of future economic growth, while at the same time preserving natural resources and mitigating emissions. This is captured in the OECD’s Green Growth Strategy, which states: “Green growth means fostering economic growth and development while ensuring that natural assets continue to provide the resources and environmental services on which our well-being relies” (OECD 2011). Indian Union Environment Minister, Jairam Ramesh has already announced that India would soon have its very own panel on climate change as the country could not depend only on reports from the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Clearly, it has raised the bar of importance given to environment by the country and a declaration to work hard for winning the most coveted title of ‘world’s leader in clean energy economy’.…
