Does History Repeat Itself Analysis
After reading Peter Searns' article, it can be easily understood that history completely shapes the people within a society. History allows us to understand the change and alteration of how society came to be today. We cannot go without history because we need a basis for how society functions. Additionally, Searns expresses that an individual must comprehend how a society functions in order to run their own lives. It seems unbelievable when individuals thinks of how significant history is to their moral understanding. When thinking about the past, there are many stories that have an influence on an individual's moral ideas and eventually tests his or her own thinking. Therefore, individuals study history to develop as a person. How would an individual understand today's society without knowing about any other experiences throughout history?

I believe that if you think deeply into this question the answer is yes, history does repeat itself. But when you are just thinking of future events, an individual should not think that history repeats itself. According to Eric Rauch in his article, future events are not aware of events that have happened in the past. However, if you observe events that have taken place in the past, many reoccurring events have taken place. It is a replay of events that just happens at a more recent time. War is going to continue as long as the price of materials increase, which causes people to act in war. There are going to be people in the world that believe the past is better, which creates repeated events as well. Why is it that a new generation thinks they are more experienced and intelligent enough to cease history from repeating? It seems to happen to every generation. Overall, I believe history will repeat itself based on the statistics of war and events of the past, present and foreseen
