My story is about my hero/role model, the retired New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter! He is one of the best shortstop you will ever see in baseball history. Derek Jeter has a batting average of 310! Derek Jeter has won 5 World series and more than 3,450 hits, respect is what Derek jeter has been about in the 20 season he has put on a Yankees uniform. Respect the game and its history. He once said “There may be people that have more talent than you, but there is no excuse for anyone to work harder than you.” Derek Jeter is a GREAT person, he has one of best personality,to say he has a great personality.He visits sick children in the hospital who loves baseball, the team or him by, there is this company called make a wish foundation. The foundation is making sick kids make a wish and they can wish for any famous people of their choice, and one special kid picked Derek Jeter for his wish. He got to meet Derek Jeter himself, and the the team. He had a blast with Derek Jeter, and that is why Derek Jeter has one of the best personality. …show more content…
