Throughout Destino, the woman begins to flourish into a new person. A dandelion forms around the woman’s head and then pieces of it begin to break off. The pieces of the flower represent her passion for helping others; they go off and provide assistance and nurture. The woman didn’t choose to go on this journey, but her journey changed her by providing her with her strength and courage to continue on. In The Hunger Games, once Katniss, along with her fellow partner from her district, defeat all of their opponents, she is crowned the victor. The crown she is given represents her strength and the obstacles she had to overcome to get to that point. Katniss obviously didn’t want to be in “The Games”, but she didn’t have a choice. She was almost forced into it, but her journey through “The Games” reflect how she transformed into a new person and gained strength and courage. Both characters started off isolated from the world and their true being until they were forced into interactions that made them the strong, confident self they grew to
