College Admissions Essay: I Want To Go To College
The dream that I have is to go to college. However, college can be very expensive, but I will not let finances keep me from reaching my dream. I learned about scholarships at the beginning of 7th grade, and now that I am getting closer and closer to my senior year, I will take every opportunity I can for those scholarships. This scholarship is one of my first opportunities to receive some money for my goal, and I do hope that I am able to receive it. As a student, my responsibilities are to complete my homework, finish projects, etc. As a human being, if I start something, I finish it. I will do whatever it takes to complete the assignment and project, and try to think out of the box. I am very reliable, making it one of the best traits I have. I will have teachers or friends relying on me to complete something or do something, and I know that I won’t let them down. I can be very persistent when it comes to school, but I like to call it determination. Getting the best grades that I can get is one of my goals, and being a good student is also one. I am fully committed to school and my academics, so that gives me no excuse to not be exceeding the standards. Like many families, my parents did not go to a four-year college. Once my mind is set, there is no stopping me from going. I have a younger sister, and she is another reason why I want to go to college, I want to show her that anyone can go to college. Being a role model to her and a leader is something very important to me, and I want to live up to it. I have made it a requirement for me to go to college, and I believe that I can make it there.
