Before we can get a system going, we have to look at some of the components we are going to need to make the system work. Kudler has a web site but it will need to be updated and many system changes to for a web based application to be implemented into it. "Internet and Web technologies present an attractive alternative for implementing information systems. For example, consider the problem of data entry and access by an RMO buyer when purchasing items from its suppliers. Buyers are typically on the road for several months a year, often for weeks at a time. A traveling buyer needs some means of remotely interacting with RMO 's supply chain management (SCM) system to record purchasing agreements and query inventory status".( Apollo Group 2004)In this case the internet wouldn 't be an alternative but part of the main process to allow the shoppers to access their account. There will be many things to consider in this process like a SQL data base and types of networks to use for online interaction to commence.…

The word RAID stands for redundant ray of independent disks. Raid is usually used in environments with servers or at a business with large file servers, transaction of application servers, where data accessibility is critical, and fault tolerance is required. There are 8 types of raids, Raid 0 is technically not a raid level because it offers no fault tolerance but, it operates by providing data stripping which takes the information and spreads it out over all the disk drives. However, if one drive fails than the entire raid fails. Raid 1 is also referred to as disk mirroring; it basically takes the information from one disk and stores it on multiple disks, this is great for fault tolerance because if one disk fails the information is on another disk. The only drawback to raid 1 is data access speed and the cost because there are more disks involved. Raid 5 is considerably the most commonly used Raid level simply because it provides both stripping and parity. The parity block is distributed to all of the drives making it easier to access the information or have a balanced access load. The parity in raid 5 is used if one of the drives happens to fail, to recover that drive which makes the raid 5 the most common however the only drawback to this raid level is that it has a relatively slow write cycle. Lastly, RAID level 6 which is very similar to raid level 5 but provides two parity functions rather than just one. A minimum of four disks is required to create RAID level 6.…

Abstract— Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a shift of paradigm in software development. It can be seen as an evolution of Component Based Software Development (CBSD), with web services used instead of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) software. For the last few years the number of services on the web has increased exponentially. Among available services locating the best service that fulfills the user requirement is a challenging task for researchers. There is still no standard Requirement Engineering (RE) process defined for Service Oriented Software Development (SOSD). The traditional processes and those used for COTS selection cannot be used due to the architectural differences of SOSD with other domains. In this paper we have extracted a list of issues and challenges from literature under considerations by research community for RE process in SOSD. The issues of RE in CBSD are compared with those of SOSD, as CBSD is considered close in nature to SOSD. The results shows that there is a need of standard RE process for SOSD with proper guidance on how to perform different steps with details. Keywords - requirement engineering; service oriented software development; component based software development; commercial off-the-shelf softwares (COTS).…

First, you should know that fair and responsible lending has always been a concern of mine dating back to 1974, when I completed my studies at Stanford University and began my career in credit at Standard Oil of Indiana (AMOCO brand). That year I witnessed the enactment of theEqual Credit Opportunity Act (implemented by Regulation B), whose purpose was to promote the availability of loans to creditworthy applicants and prohibit discrimination based upon gender and marital status (subsequent amendments included other prohibited bases, such as race, color, national origin, religion, age, being a recipient of public assistance or exercising rights under the Consumer Protection Act). At AMOCO Credit, I had the opportunity to study data patterns across six million credit card accounts. During the course of my work there, I evaluated direct mail credit card solicitation programs for profitability and applicant pre-screening models for effectiveness. I also conducted statistical sampling and research into the reasons for credit card denials.…

The Online Enrolment System was proposed in replacement of the Manual Enrolment System of the institution for it to have an organized flow of transaction and an ease of work especially to the administrators of Cavite Maritime Institute. The study is concerned on how the manual enrolment performs throughout the company’s transaction. The numerous transactions that the manual system covers, such as updating and adding student records, generating the advising and assessment slips, and the like are commending the manual enrolment system to be inefficient for the needs of the institution. Since the study involves proper records handling, tracing the constraints and evaluation of the manual system is essential. Thus, the proponents gathered necessary data that will help in the progress of enhancing the existing system of CMI.…
