Online Enrollment System for Cavite Maritime Institute Dasmari Ñas, Cavite

ABSTRACT
The Online Enrolment System was proposed in replacement of the Manual Enrolment System of the institution for it to have an organized flow of transaction and an ease of work especially to the administrators of Cavite Maritime Institute. The study is concerned on how the manual enrolment performs throughout the company’s transaction. The numerous transactions that the manual system covers, such as updating and adding student records, generating the advising and assessment slips, and the like are commending the manual enrolment system to be inefficient for the needs of the institution. Since the study involves proper records handling, tracing the constraints and evaluation of the manual system is essential. Thus, the proponents gathered necessary data that will help in the progress of enhancing the existing system of CMI.

The result of the study revealed that the Enrolment System is “Very Acceptable” as evaluated by the selected faculty members and staff of the school. In the light of the present findings and conclusions, the following recommendations are advanced, namely, that this enrolment system should be introduced to the school; that it should be adopted by the school to help the staff find records of students more easily and faster and the system should be utilized as a model for future research, especially for technology or computer-related research studies.…

Hrothgar, the king of Danes, had the characteristics of a leader as strength, bravery and leadership at the beginning of the epic until the monster Grendel attacked . Grendel 's appearance eliminated the stability of the Danes. Instead of standing up fighting Grendel, Hrothgar cowardly retreated and allowed the monster to terrorize his kingdom for many years and countless innocent trusted warriors had been killed by the Gendel. As a result, people lost their sense of trust and security for the kingdom until Beowulf arrived to aid Hrothgar fight for the battle and eventually won the victory. However, the main reason he traveled across the sea to help Hrothgar was because Hrothgar had saved Beowulf’s father life earlier. He was a heavy drinker and was prone to bragging. He touted himself as the strongest man on earth and as the greatest warrior. Beowulf accepted the gold for killing the monster that threatened Hrothgar’s kingdom. From this point, I viewed Beowulf was kind of mercenary and not totally as altruistic in his motivation. In my opinion as a reader, Beowulf became less heroic with each battle both in his method and motivation. In the final battle with dragon, he tended to act for his own glory instead of protecting people. His heroic figure had less value and became somehow ambitious at the end of epic. Beowulf was deservedly celebrated as a great hero and his last courageous battle was somehow rash. He unnecessarily left his own people without a king and exposed them to danger from other tribes. Therefore, I think Beowulf was less heroic than when he was a youngster because his glory , ambition and his motivation displayed at the end of…

Lemon is a fruit that contains acid that can be able to remove stains or an agent that can be used as a cleaning solution, specifically, a tile stain remover. It is also known for it contains most citric acid among those citrus fruits.…

University of San Carlos, one of the oldest schools in the Philippines, has experienced a drastic change when it decided to adjust to the modern world run by technology. Manual and traditional enrollment meant students having to go to the campus early to get the schedule they desire to be enrolled in. Long lines of eager students barricading the offices didn’t mean proper order in the enrollment system but this was slowly accepted by those who really wished to enroll. The drastic change came when students and faculty of the school decided to adapt to technology by creating a database system which could allow students to check their grades, assessment, enrollment processes and even the library system from their own homes. With a stable internet connection, any student can connect to the school by entering their ID numbers and passwords. A question arises, though, as to why the proponents chose this topic when the database system called ‘Integrated School Management Information System (ISMIS)” received good reviews and is functioning fairly well. The reason is, “functioning fairly well” does not apply to every part of the system. The flaw comes out in the specific function called the “Online Enrollment.” The importance of this study is to figure out how ISMIS users are satisfied with the performance of this database system. During enrollment season, Carolinians (students of the university) voice out issues about the ISMIS not functioning and delaying their chances of getting good courses and practical time schedules. Students cite their sentiments through social networking sites which is why there is not much they can do about it. This study aims to find samples from the student population regarding their satisfaction/dissatisfaction on ISMIS. Would they prefer the traditional lining-up-and-filling-up-forms type of enrollment? Or would they stick to the “lag” ISMIS Online Enrollment?…

Automation and online transaction is not relatively new here in our country and more so abroad. In fact it is a growing fad abroad and is beginning to crop up in our country gradually, where bank transactions, business dealings and buying and selling take place. It is very convenient to do online transactions because one does not have to actually be in the supermarket, department store, drugstore or bookstore in order to buy things needed. All it takes is a computer that has an internet connection, and one can instantly place the order. Sooner or later, the product is at the doorstep. Online enrollment is to a certain extent a new fad. Not many, in fact, only a handful schools in the Philippines, particularly in Manila, cater to online subject enlisting and enrollment like for example Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University and University of the Philippines (Diliman and Los Baños campus).…
