They take pride in making sure the dogs are trained specifically for the individual’s needs and that the pair will be a lifetime match. Currently they are only in a 250 mile radius of Cochranville, Pennsylvania, but their goal is to expand across the country.
CPL has a 5 year plan to expand their programing, making physical improvements to their current facilities, implementing a steadier financial platform, and recruiting more skillful board members. In order to expand their program nationally they plan to use positive media. They have had success in the past with popular media outlets.
The improvements to their facility may be a little more difficult for the program to achieve. With the want to expand nationally they will need a larger facility. Their current facility is not large enough to accommodate work space, visitor space, and a lunch room. At present they have people filling out paperwork, eating lunch, and applicants meeting with trainers all in the same room. The building in which they train the dogs does not have running water or a reliable heating and cooling system. These are changes that should be focused on prior to thinking about expanding their
