Buttercup Monologue
“I think we are out of milk Buttercup.” I said.
“I’ll go milk the cows then.”
“Thank you.” I said. Later that afternoon I was chopping wood when I heard horse hooves. Buttercup came screaming, “It’s Prince Humperdinck’s guard!”. “Get behind me!” I said. Two soldiers with crossbows appeared, ”Give us Buttercup, now!” “I told Humperdinck to never show his face!” Before I could hear the reply I felt a sharp pain in the back of my head, I had been clubbed by another guard who had snuck behind me. The last thing I could see was the guards riding away, with Buttercup. I jumped up what must have been several minutes later. I ran into the barn and lifted the secret panel to get out my old blade it was as good as new. I rushed to my horse and

The only person I know that could help was Inigo Montoya. I went to the local harbor to ask if anybody had seen the dread pirate Robins lately, but I received no good information. I was about to give up when an old lady said, “Boy! Come over here” in a whispery tone. I did as I was told. I followed her into an old abandoned fish market to find that it wasn’t as abandoned as it …show more content…
“Aaahh, so you need me and my pirates to fight this army?” “Yes” I said “Well….” He said, “I wouldn’t do it for just any man, but I do owe you my life for when I lost that duel to you, so I shall help you.” We set off for the castle, I was nervous for fear of defeat. We hid in the hills and then came in on all sides of the guards. They were surprised completely. We were about to take the gate, but the worst thing happened, it started raining arrows everywhere, we were dropping like flies. I knew I could not give up so Inigo and Fezzik decided to stay and fight the guards, so I could go save Buttercup. I ran into the castle and took out the guards who were guarding Prince Humperdinck’s chambers. I could hear Humperdinck and Buttercup in there, “Westley will save me!” said Buttercup. “He will be dead with the rest of those pirates.” said Humperdinck. I barged through the door, “We’ll see about that!” I said. “Westley!” shouted Buttercup. Humperdinck swung his blade first and I countered. We dueled for ten minutes, he was much better than before. I finally disarmed him and had him on the ground when five guards ran

This is my cat ‘‘Buttercup’’. You might wonder: Why that name? Well, when I founded him, it was unavoidable to match his muddy yellow coat with the bright flower. He had a mashed-in nose, half of one ear missing and eyes the color of rotting squash. According to my older sister, Katniss, Buttercup was the world’s ugliest cat but it did not matter, because I knew that in the bottom of her heart she was starting to love him. Besides, he was a great help at home, for he was a born mouser. So, we did not have vermin problems anymore. Furthermore, Buttercup was very special for me; he made me feel safe when I had nightmares during the…

I spotted the light flickering by the doorway in the entry hall, signaling that someone was at the door. Another poor innocent soul, soon to be murdered by General Zaroff. I stepped up to the large wooden door, grabbed my black, long-barreled revolver and turned the brass knob. I looked upon the visitor with great curiosity, as he was naked. The revolver was pointed at his beating heart. His eyes showed a slight glimmer of fear, yet he gave a reassuring smile. His mouth began to move and I could only make out two words. Robber and yacht...…

The Princess Bride is fantastical novel written by William Goldman. The novel is written under the façade of being an abridged version of S. Morgenstern’s fictitious “classic tale of true love and high adventure”, which Goldman has generously decided to abridge and cut the “boring parts” out of. Goldman’s journey to abridge the timeless classic provides the frame story for the main story, which is set in a semi-historic medieval society, utilizing multiple POV switches throughout the novel as well as an an omniscient narrator—Goldman. The inner story follows Princess Buttercup, the most beautiful woman in the world, as she is kidnapped by a trio of hired bandits posing as circus performers—Vizzini, the devil Sicilian, Fezzik the Giant, and…

I think that Prince Humperdinck didn’t react well to the conflict with Princess Noreena. I think that Prince Humperdinck is very stuck up and isn’t a good person. The only reason he didn’t want to marry Princess Noreena was because she was bald. If I was Prince Humperdinck I wouldn’t marry her by her looks. I would marry her by her personality, and how acts. Princess Noreena also made a choice that I think was wrong. Instead of embracing the fact that she’s bald, she hides it. I think that she should show everyone that she is bald, so people can love her for her, and if they don’t love her for her then that’s their problem. I also think that Buttercup didn’t react well when Prince Humperdinck told her to marry him. If I was Buttercup I wouldn’t…
