Job Description

The Business Development Assistant I will support the Business Development Manager in all areas for the execution of all strategies and initiatives of the specific business line assigned through pricing, promotion, merchandising and operations.

Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Responsible for the following functional areas that support Business Development Management......
- Reviews, prioritizes, tracks actions, and resolve a simple to moderately complex issues. Notifies appropriate people as needed
- Solves minor process problems
- Drafts communications / presentations
- Utilizes existing templates / processes to track category performance and / or manage category
- Utilizes the PAT tool and facilitates related pricing administration in support of the pricing strategy
- Performs basic analysis for supplier negotiation
- Identifies, researches, and resolves simple to moderately complex issues with minimal BDM involvement
- Represents BDM in meetings (note taking, present updates, clarify and notify BDM of priority action steps)
- Develops / coordinates agenda and travel itinerary for key BDM supplier or retail visit trips
