Blue Highways Research Paper
Initially you may take the interstate when traveling, it gets you there faster. However here's the thing I found out that the best of America is on blue highways. Around every corner there is something new and different and very interesting. On an interstate the road is flat, straight and all of the interesting stuff and places are up on the exit ramp, what is fun about that? So here are my responses to how I agree with the author proving that blue highway route 66 represents America. As you know accidents happen a lot on the interstate, that takes the fun from driving. You look around and it looks like America in the 1940's or 50's, now isn't that something."Blue highways connect small cities and rural areas that may had once had a dream of becoming big cities before being bypassed by the interstate."Now with taking this route you will see these small places and small cities that you will get the sense of warm, comfortable places to be or maybe live there because its so calming. Blue highways also seem to have the most amazing small shops to find unique little things like food which are only made by particular people in those towns, nowadays those things don't really seem to exist anymore everything doesn't seem unique and one of a kind. Places seem to have the same stores and restaurants and nothing special. These highways also have great views when driving, on top of that it's safer. Did you know one of the most famous highways is route 66, Americans drove route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica,Cali way back in the 20's but it was removed from the highway system, but it was THE road for people to travel.Furthermore these are my reasons why I suggest taking blue highways when traveling, it's definitely worth it in the
